Nice location, comfortable bar, comfortable bed.

Shower in large corner bath was dangerous for 83 year old, nothing to hold on to.

Utmost in my review is the excellent service received, especially by Zack. He gave consistently attentive, welcoming and friendly service. We were really impressed. The room was spacious and relaxing with a lovely view & ambience. A nice rain shower and comfy bed. Dinner and breakfast were lovely. A good selection for both meals. If you want a speciality coffee for breakfast, it’s a little extra, although filter coffee is free. If you’re looking for a Cotswold weekend getaway, this is a good choice.

We had a very enjoyable stay, bolstered with an amazing sunset. Food is absolutely amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our visit was an overnight stay bought by our children. most of the things you have to do are online which is fine for me but not everyone. When I received my final bill in the morning it had the cost of the break, which I felt was wrong as it was a gesture from our children for our Anniversary. Also I had two emails after telling me to book my table and we should arrive at a time. This was weeks after we had stayed, they were apologetic but sadly just not good enough considering everything was done electronically, they obviously have a technical issue with their system.

Lovely period property

The bar is light and airy with a huge balcony with wonderful views over the countryside. We had a huge bed in a spacious room, spare pillows in the wardrobe a lovely surprise. Breakfast the cooked options were amazing I had Shakshuka eggs were lovely, my friend had the most amazing poached eggs on smoked salmon. White company toiletries which I love.

The buffet could do with bowls for the fruit, eating from a plate was tricky. The Bread selection for toast could be so much better. The bathroom, was spotlessly clean with a 1990's corner jaccuzi bath, not sure how you could have had a shower without flooding the room. The tap on the sink literally thundered as it worked.

Great location , few miles from centre of Gloucester , beautiful views. Room faultless. Spotless. Every facility you could ask for including illuminated toilet ! Breakfast adequate rather than stunning. Good choice tho. Bar ok , beers were fizzy pop nonsense around 7 a pint. Dinner was ok with a group set meal deal but one night we had à la carte which was VERY expensive (20 for a nondescript lamb burger & fries, 9 for soup ,9 dessert) and not stunning quality. Again , adequate. I think staff were slightly out of their comfort zone with 30 bikers eating at once but ok. I’d go again. Good value for room& breakfast, great location , generally good service. I’d avoid the à la Carte tho. Nice terrace to sit on and admire the view. 9/10

Spent one night at this hotel while visiting family in the area. Room was good, quiet with a decent sized bathroom including heated towel rail and efficient rain shower. We had a cream tea on arrival in the sunshine on the terrace. Pity though that the gorgeous view is hidden by the permanent marquees.
