Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco

Great service. Excellent breakfast buffet and good restaurant. There is a lot of dining option in a walking distance also. Nice tropical garden where we can observe hummingbirds and a toucan. The only bothering thing was that the breaker of the A/C had to be repaired twice in 2 days (it get very humid in the room without ventilation even if it is not that warm) but we had service for it has soon as requested

The hotels is walking distance to the town which has restaurants and markets and stores. The only thing we didn’t like is the guidance to not flush toilet paper down the toilet; however they did provide proper container for disposal.

This hotel was a real find, from the moment we arrived to check -in , offered a cool flannel and a refreshing drink, this felt like a little bit of luxury. The hotel was beautifully presented, with plenty of outdoor seating areas and the pool and Jacuzzi were really inviting, especially after a hard day trekking and Ziplinning through the amazing Cloud Forest. The rooms were lovely and clean, with a well stocked mini-bar to use as part of the package. Ideally situated in the town, close to the shops,restaurants and a short drive away from the activities that you can enjoy whilst staying in Monteverde. We dined in the restaurant on one of the evenings, the food was excellent with a special mention to our waiter Anthony who really looked after us, as did all the other staff at the hotel, including Axel on the reception desk. Please take the time to wander around the grounds of the hotel, it has a wonderful winedy path to explore and feels like you are heading into the middle of the forest. Me and my family were really impressed with the Cloud Forest in general, this hotel just made it extra special and comes highly recommend for your stay.

This hotel was a real find, from the moment we checked in.....we were given a cool face towel and a refreshing drink.....it felt like a 5 star hotel. The location was excellent, right in the heart of Monteverde near the shops,restaurants and a short drive away from the attractions. All the rooms and amenities at the hotel were 1st class, we dined in the restaurant for one of our evenings and was really impressed with the quality of the food and wine that was on the menu...... special mention has to go to Anthony our waiter who did a splendid job of looking after us.,..as do all the hotel staff who were so attentive. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Poco a Poco, the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff so friendly, the gardens were lush and being close to Monteverde town was ideal. Breakfast was delicious - the best banana cake! We ate one night in the hotel restaurant which was great and one night we walked to a restaurant in town. A great stay, short but sweet, thank you!

Great property in Monteverde! Close to everything.

Wonderful experience! Good food, lovely atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, bed very comfortable.Staff knowledgeable of events / experiences in the area.

This hotel is in a great location, a 5 minute walk to the centre of Santa Elena and across the road from a small mall with a good selection of shops and restaurants. The pool is small but has a great bar and a jacuzzi to fit 6 people all covered so protected from the elements. Breakfast was a buffet of Costa Rican cooked food, fresh fruit, pancakes, cereal and an omelette station. Dinner is served in a separate restaurant to the breakfast area with a small but adequate menu. There is ample parking on site for the number of rooms. Building work was ongoing whilst we were there for a new fitness room.

The room was beyond our expectations and then some. Stunning, with hot tub and a massive, comfortable bed. The surroundings were beautiful - a nature walk around the lovely gardens is essential, and to spot toucans while having the top class breakfast was an added bonus. We plan to return to Monteverde on a future trip and will definitely return to this hotel.
