Lamplighter Motel

Great room, very comfortable, handy to all local amenities. Has a wonderful Chinese Restaurant attached to it.

The light advertising the motel out the front doesn’t work. The room smelt of smoke, the toiletries are very out dated.the place could be presented better with a bit of work. Good location

We chose this hotel for convenience while attending a friends wedding. It was walking distance to nearby restaurants. The room was clean, the bed comfy and had a really good shower.

Ok budget style, the rooms do need a bit of maintenance .

We stayed at the hotel because it was close to Monash Hospital, I had to spend a day and night in the hospital and my wife needed to be able to stay close by for convenience! The room was very poor but it was close so we didn't have much choice as most hotels we looked at are booked out!

The room was not as presented in the pictures and comments online. Suggest do not stay here unless very cheap and you are happy only due to the location.

Front desk rude and didn’t care that I was booked in but there was no room and offered no assistance. Interacting with their cell phone was far more important! Later when Wotif called to find out what happened they claimed I was a “no show”. My car’s GPS tells a different story.

Motel needs a makeover, it’s quite tired. Location was ok approx $40 Uber ride to the centre of Melbourne for the F1. The motel was right on the edge of the main road into Melbourne so was quite noisy. There is a Chinese restaurant on the site. (Part of reception).

If you are a group of 5 or more, it is recommended to go with this option. The individual villas are so pleasant and peaceful. Other than wifi, everything is excellent. Make sure wifi is working before you check in.

comfortable! Good shower, microwave,ect. Satisfactory for overnight stay.
