Lamplighter Motel

just simply check in was quick and staff very responsive.

Bed was on the floor, mattress had a big spot in it where springs had gone, shower was awful, no shower pressure

Shower floor was like walking on rocks with bare feet

Filthy, staff extremely rude and extremely unhelpful, rooms are delapitated, dirty, mould and god knows what else..... place should be shut down by the health department

Entry door was warped and did not allow second closure to engage; peeling paint and mould in bathroom; some surfaces with visible dust and dirt - would not recommend.

unfortunately the standard has dropped here. We have stayed at this motel over a long period of years and unfortunately thing have got worse. Some rooms have had tacky minor upgrade some rooms not much. Then room we were allotted this trip was bad. There was a stench when we opened the door so we put the air-conditioner on while we went down to the shops. We purchased air freshener to spray around. I then found a blanked on a shelf and found that it reeked of urine so took it outside. Reception replaced it but the replacement blanket was tatty and worn. The black out curtains are old and light shows through the rough texture. I could not recommend this Motel to anyone and will not be staying there again.

This Hotel is ideally located for public transport and shopping. The onsite Chinese Restaurant is fabulous and the host is very friendly and obliging. The room is excellent for self catering and was comfortable and adequate. Only 2 downsides for me - no free wifi and the smell of cigarette smoke - the car parking area was strewn with cigarette butts - not good.

There was no soap shower drain blocked bad wifi and only two Foxtel channels

good location beds very hard was clean not over priced

Close to chadstone shopping centre and st kilda, showers weren’t great
