The Birley Arms Hotel

Business in st.annes at bank holiday. The hotel was a nice surprise in a very quiet location but convenient access to Lytham and St. Anne's. Julie was welcoming and the restaurant menu was exceptional. Don't miss the tomahawk steak particularly if you have a big appetite.

Stayed for one night, as had an early morning meeting locally. Long drive so booked this hotel. Hotel is a kind of pub / restaurant / hotel, I am not quite sure if it knows exactly what it is, can it be all 3, maybe? Its a nice enough place, I stayed on a Wednesday evening, so very quiet. People are nice enough, food is excellent but not pub prices, definitely restaurant prices, but then its not pub food, but its in a pub! Bedrooms are fine, no problems, couple of small low cost improvements could be made, but nothing worth downgrading or complaining about. Great nights sleep. Breakfast is fine, no juice topped up, which was frustrating. I was in a rush so didn't ask, and to be honest I shouldn't really need to. Paid £80 bed and breakfast in this pub / restaurant / gastropub / hotel / motel* and would certainly stay again. * - take your pick!

Booked for my son and wife to have a break they enjoyed the first time I booked for them. They could NOT find any fault with the service or cleanliness of the room,hotel and the the staff were very friendly

This is a lovely Hotel in a quiet country lane, Christine who served breakfast and cleaned our room was absolutely lovely, breakfast was delicious and plenty choice. Felix, who owned the hotel had an unfortunate manner, he never acknowledged us at all, but his wife was charming. The room was a good size, cozy, bathroom had a great walk in shower. The only down side was evening meals were very very pricey. We never ate in the Hotel in the evening, but there were loads of reasonable places around Preston.

Absolutely brilliant place. Food amazing, staff amazing especially the Italian waiter, he is fantastic. Had many laughs and cannot wait to return. Brilliant value for money and close to many attractions. Already recommended to friends and family. Planning a long weekend with all the family early next year.

I stayed one night whilst on business, the area is very safe, my room was clean and had a shower to die for, my evening meal was very good and there was plenty to select from. The breakfast was outstanding
