The Sheldon B&B

Lovely welcome, excellent breakfast, lots of great decoration, good location. Room very compact, but this was reflected in the price.

The staff were very friendly but the so called luxury room we paid for was a disgrace. It was dirty and everything was shabby, including a chest of drawers with no handles. The carpets were dirty and somebody with no DIY skills had slapped paint on the walls to tart it up. I didn't want to use the shower. I do wish the owners would stay in their rooms and see for themselves how many amenities are lacking. I think asylum seekers get better rooms.

Steve and Renee were very accommodating hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Everything about our stay was exceptional! From the friendly and helpful staff, to the lovely rooms with small touches to give it character, to the wonderful breakfasts in the morning, to the location, we loved every bit of it! Would highly recommend!

A comfortable, quiet and relaxed stay. Close to the seafront and town centre. A perfect base.

The hosts were very welcoming and we had an enjoyable time. It was good to have an allocated parking area off the street, the breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and we were made to feel at home. My only slight criticism was that my second-floor room's shower pressure was rather feeble - perhaps affected by the altitude! I will certainly consider staying here again if I return to Eastbourne.

I absolutely recommend The Sheldon to anyone staying in Eastbourne. It’s close to the storefront but better yet the owners have filled the walls with art and keep open community spaces for guests to use at all times. Everything is thoughtfully done with hospitality in mind. Breakfast was delicious. The owners focus on B Corp suppliers when they can. Truly a gem of an accommodation.

This accommodation is brilliant. Car park at rear is a bonus. Room and breakfast great. Meet by Steve, shown around accommodation. There's a place to relax and read a book. Sheldon is near everything in central Eastbourne. We had a concert at the Congress theatre which was 5 mins away. No driving needed for Eastbourne town, just park and walk. Well done to all staff.

Very big plus is having a car park at the premises on the right as you face the building. You drive under the arch to the rear. On our arrival we were met by Steve who showed us around and mentioned about using the microwave etc. Then we took the lift up to our room which was comfortable. Breakfast was very good with various cereals and dried fruits and yogurts. A choice of freshly cooked breakfasts. My wife had an excellent omelette and I had two days of full English and a very good scramble egg on the third day. Very relaxed atmosphere, help yourself to coffee, quirky decor with colourful ceilings. In the book of words in our room, there were various eating establishments recommended. We went to one, which was the Pomodoro e Mozzarlla an Italian restaurant with easy five minute walk. Steve was very helpful on places to visit, how to get there etc. If we are coming that way again would definitely return.

What a wonderful little place. A great couple that are so friendly and welcoming . A superb large room for myself and my dog. Breakfast time was brilliant as I could eat with my dog in a separate lounge area where he was offered breakfast too! A lovely lounge area where you could relax, watch tv , read a book or even help yourself to an honesty bar . A five minute walk to the wonderful seafront and ten to a lovely shopping precinct. Plenty of eating places , not so many dog friendly but as the weather was great I could eat outside with him. They have a lovely little dog who made a friend of mine . Will be returning.
