The staff are very friendly and helpful room was clean and tidy food was good will stay here again when im next down well done

Stayed here for one night as had a party and was honestly an amazing hotel with the nices staff ive witnessed in a long time Room was perfect, breakfast was amazing Highly recommend

Went for drinks with friends and didn't fancy training home so decided to book a stay at a random place We found the sheldon and it was miles better than expected!!! Steve was one of the best hosts I've met in a very long time, he was so lovely and greeted us like we were longtime friends. He showed us around and told us all we needed to know and we are in love with his place Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order everything was clean and perfect Situated walking distance to eveything you need 100% will be staying again

Warm welcome on arrival, inviting and creatively decorated public spaces. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. One to return to!

The hotel is nicely located. 2 mins from beach, 10 mins from town centre and train station. Great breakfast.

Excellent value for money , nice clean rooms and good facilities . Breakfast was nice and staff friendly . Would stay again if in Eastbourne . Owners are obviously trying very hard to provide the best possible experience at a reasonable price and are succeeding .

The Sheldon public spaces has been nicely decorated with many facilities, which was nice. The room was very spacious and well equipped but the bathroom was small especially the shower unit which was a ‘tight fit.’ Although clean, the bathroom could do with some more TLC. The onsite car park was an asset although it is a very narrow alley between the building and boundary wall to enter and exit. The location is one block from the sea front and very near to Devonshire Park (theatre and international tennis venue). It is also only a short walk from a variety of good restaurants. The staff were very polite and helpful which must be congratulated. The choices for breakfast were also very good with optional free cooked choices. The room’s information booklet was well produced and most helpful.

Amazing staff, good food and service. Work in progress to redecorate the hotel. Room was very poor. Good bed and clean sheets but too small an en-suite and not clean. New owners working very hard to turn an old fashioned hotel into a place to stay.

Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was clean as were the bedding and towels. Room needed a bit of minor attention /cosmetic work but this did not detract from overall enjoyment of stay. Slept like a log ! The refreshment facilities were excellent and even offered use of dining room out of hrs for our own use if we needed. Good choice of breakfast ,cooked and cereals etc. The hotel also had a lounge available which added to the overall space for our use. Great location 10mins from railway station and 5 from the beach. we would stay here again !

The room is spacious and set up perfectly for our family with two children. My youngest especially loves that there is a play area with toys she can use.
