Glen Rose Inn and Suites

New owners were still figuring things out. Booked my hotel on this site and they made us pay for it again, so I went back and told them that we already paid for it and they found it and fixed it. Room was nice for the price that we paid. Just a few things to fix.

I love staying here because the Big Cup Cafe & Bar is right outside my door for any meal or a drink! The new owners were very nice and accommodating. This location is also under renovation, so it would not be fair to rate their quality until the new owners have had a chance to complete their vision. Thanks for a great stay!

Retro type facility with easy access to the town.

The staff was pushy, they were not available at check out, I could hear mice or rats running and chewing at night when I was trying to sleep and the bed was very uncomfortable.

The office staff was not friendly, the toom stunk, shower curtain had black mold. The cleaning person was very nice and doing her best with what little she had to clean with

What a dump! Popcorn ceiling falling down, Mold all in the bathrooms, 1/4" thick dust on the ledge of the shower. Drywall had holes in it, and apparently can't afford the TV bill as it had no signal. The walk into the room was great though, stepped in and immediately the aroma of a well used guys gym locker. Straight up STANK.

The rooms were across the street from the check in office. When we checked in, the clerk tried to give us a smaller room because he said the bathroom door did not lock, but that didn't matter to me. But it wasn't that the door didn't lock, the whole door was broken and there was mold on the walls.

The Glen Rose Inn and Suiters is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The key cards failed on the first two rooms and the hotel check-in person tried to claim it was because I asked for 3 keys. He even seem perturbed that I wanted more than 1 room key. The third room was dirty - I actually wiped dirt off the beds! One bed was missing pillows. There was no lightbulb over the sink. The toilet was broken - to flush it we had to reach in the tank and lift the flapper and then reset the flapper so it would stop flushing. The rooms are extremely loud because the air conditioner wasn't sealed correctly and there were gaps between it and the wall. The television had only one working channel and each time we turned the tv on we had to reset the input to HDMI to get that one channel to even work! We booked for two nights through Expedia and when we returned to our room after being gone for a bit the room keys wouldn't work. The innkeeper tried to say we only booked for one night. When I showed him the email from Expedia and the itinerary on the app he still insisted we only had one night. After I explained to him that he need to have a room for us and that our belongings had better still be in the room he finally gave in and rest the room key - ONE of them! I wouldn't wish this hotel on my worst enemy!

Tub doesn't drain; hair in drain that had been there for some time. Towels are thin and worn. Sub par at best.
