Lake View Inn

I don’t know who would ever give a five star rating for this place. It was so disgusting I would be embarrassed to be a part of advertising for it. Every room on the first floor had throw up on the entrance of each room, with a hose right outside. You would think they would make the attempt to at least TRY to make this place presentable. Everything about this place was gross, just gross.

Would not recommend. Location was OK, condition left a lot to be desired. No deadbolt or security chain on door to day the least…..

The location is good for walking around Lake George. The room was simple and clean.

Simply put, I got what i paid for. Booked this room with 1 queen bed for $85. The shower stall had soap scum building up, the bathroom vent had dust hanging out of it, and there were long black hairs laying everywhere in the bathroom. The bed was broke on one side, i'm pretty sure, and hard as a rock, and I like a firm bed. We almost invited friends to come with us, I'm so glad we didn't.

Everything was great. Definitely recommend just one thing. The rooms smell like someone smoked cigarettes. So only if they could change their room air freshner that would be awesome

The motel is in a great location. It was a convenient place to sleep and keep our stuff. My complaint is the pet fee. We booked through hotels.com but got slammed with another $30 per night for our dog.

The room wreaked of cigarettes, the bedding had burn marks on it and was really stained, and the bed was really hard and loud. All of the towels were stained and nasty looking. Under the bathroom sink in the cabinet there was a ton of mouse and rat signs. The floor looked like someone swept it all in the corner and just left it. The tv in the room was broken and there wasn't anything they could do even though the guy told me he's been working on getting it fixed for a while now. I live in hotels for my job and this one was one of the nastiest I've ever seen. Spend a little more and get a good room.

It was a tiny room, but, ehh, you get what you pay for. Apparently, what I didn't pay for was a place to hang a coat; literally, there was no closet, not coat rack, not even a hook on the wall. I had to put my coat over the chair at the small desk. Good thing that chair was right below the TV mounted high on the wall, too high to see it (which didn't work, anyway) without your neck at at least an 80° angle to look straight up. The bathroom had maybe ½ a roll of TP on the holder so I opened the vanity under the sink to see if there was another roll under there. There wasn't but then I could have just pooped in the vanity. What? That's disgusting, you say? Then you should scold the mouse/mice that had done so a couple of DOZEN times before I arrived! It's a good thing there was lots of soap to wash my hands after closing the 'mouse bathroom'. FOUR whole individually wrapped bars, each with a "6" both printed on the wrapper & embedded into the soap, you know, suspiciously similar to the custom logo of the place that leaves the light on for you despite it not being that chain. I guess one of them was for my hair as there was no little bottle/pouch of shampoo to be found, perhaps hauled off by the mouse??? The stairs are as wide as a person, which means a person must hold a bag in front of them; going down means you can't see the next stair you're about to step onto making it a bit dicey. Do yourself a favor & pay the extra for one of the larger, first floor rooms.
