Royal Hotel, Bar & Grill

Having arrived at property we were shocked to see the state of the building outside with scaffolding up. Almost drove away because it looked derelict but car park was busy so we thought that we would check if open. Had to park in the street as lots of builders vehicles taking up spaces. Yes it was open but very much in need of updating - would not stay there again - Sorry an inspection is very much needed if you wish to continue to advertise this property.

River front good. Did not like hotel was open to public felt unscure. Bath had damp on ceiling. Tap was leaking

Not good at all, if I wasn't arriving so late I would not have spent the night. Very thin walls, could hear everything from the neighbouring room. I felt like I walked into a hotel in the 80s. Mostly clean, but everything is old and worn out.

Just sated for one night very good for price. Would say there agin.

Very helpful at reception on arrival, and a warm welcome. Place is in need of some refurbishment but on the whole I found my room to be clean and fresh. Wi-Fi is NOT password protected which is not great. Breakfast was basic but OK, I left a little hungry though. Great location by the Thames and Would stay again if on a budget.

Room not serviced each day which wasn't an issue but others may want to know. WiFi was a bit hit and miss, especially in the evening. Food in the bar was fabulous.

You get what you pay for, it's a basic hotel that has reasonable rooms and beds. The cottage is slightly more private but you do hear the doors slamming through the night and the sound of the road. Nice walk along the river to a bird sanctuary, overall it's reasonable. Shower was really weak tho

Juat an awful dirty outdated room

Staff were excellent. The hotel was clean, food excellent however the hotel was tried and needs updateing. Excellent position for getting into London.
