Aspery Hotel

The room that I received looked nothing like what was advertised on the app. The staff was informed that my TV was not working and they did not address the issues nor kept me updated. I’m am unsatisfied with the service especially with the price that was paid for this hotel.

I had a great stay at the Aspery. I was a little worried when I checked in, they allocated me my ‘classic room’ which was in Building 2. I needn’t have worried, I preferred this building as it was quiet and all the same amenities are available. It’s literally a minute walk to the Main Reception. The location is perfect also, the main road leads to the beach but is usually quiet and it’s only a 10 minute walk to all the action on Bangla Road. The room itself was OK, slightly worn but everything you need; hairdryer, safe, tea and coffee, 2 x water. WIFI was OK but you had to keep logging in with room no, not an issue really. TV had some English channels and there was a rack to dry your clothes on the Balcony. The Pool was clean and a good place to spend a few hours. When I did have a few issues (my do not disturb kept getting pinched by other guests) the staff were very quick to resolve and get me a new one. On the whole this place is really good value (not perfect), but I think for the price you pay, it’s a bargain. My stay was in high seasons too. Well done Aspery!

The photos are either dated or well edited. Not as presented. We were disappointed upon arrival to see how different the property looked from what was presented online.

Nice clean room with a nice pool

It’s a good location in the north end. Little more quiet. Unfortunately the room Rooms have a stench of sewer gas. I have stayed before and was the same. Halls are quite noisy also when trying to sleep. Maid staff are lovely.

We checked out after less than an hour and lost 3 days worth of money. They gave us a room in a second building, the hallways were filled with trash bags, the bathroom was filthy, the door was barely working. There were water stains and what else on the roof. It just felt seedy. on the way to the hotel desk from the second building, was accosted 3 times by 'massage' people. Avoid at all costs. To top it all, they would not even give us a refund. Only reason I chose this was because of expedia.

Average hotel. Good location. Breakfasts adequate. Towels were a little old. Hard to always get hand towels.
