We enjoyed the facilities at the hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent and the hotel was comfortable and clean.

Our 'winter sun' break and my fist to Tenerife. The hotel had a few negative points which disappointed as we thought we had researched thoughroughly. 1, the terrace room was on the 4th floor and looked over the main road. OK except the air con did not work and it was too noisy to have windows open at night. 2, we hired a car as the hotel had free Parking. Wrong, the parking was free, but limmited. The first 2 nights cost me 12€ a night. With a discount the hotel organised. 3, the half board basis meant a meal in the noisy bar 3 nights. 3 buffet in main restaurant. Choice was limited, and rolled from day to day. Quality of served food was suberb. Some repairs needed to window catches and a cupboard door.

It was quite good worth the money according to the fact that it's a cheap hotel...

two couples booked 2 rooms requested nice room as celebration visit we were given probably the smallest room and bathroom we have ever encountered not good. Kindly one couple were given a discount but too late the occasion spoilt re such an unromantic tiny room with a terribly designed miniscule bathroom

After reading the various write ups on this hotel we arrived expecting to be able to enjoy a swim in the city. Unfortunately the pool and terrace was closed even though the temperature was in the high 20,s! Very disappointing. Almost as disappointing was the air conditioning in the room which only emitted warm air. This was reported to reception but not fixed during our 3 days at the hotel. The cleaning was poor with none of the towels in the bathroom being tidied up or changed during our stay, almost as if the bathroom were out of bounds! We have stayed at many Barcelo hotels in the past and always been able to give generous feedback, however on this occasion many elements were poor and need sorting. The hotel location is good, the bistro very welcoming but the hotel was let down by the problems already mentioned.

Second time I've stayed at a Barcelo hotel in Spain. Staff was super helpful, from booking a trip up Mt Teide to answering any other inquiry. Rooms are contemporary and clean. This hotel is centrally located and next to a beautiful park.

This hotel is well located (10 minutes walk from central locations in Santa Cruz) and had a very nice park right next to it. We found good food at the next door cocina urban restaurant as well. The room was clean but finishings disappointed compared to the pictures (chips on furniture, shower with only one glass pane so you end up watering the whole bathroom, uneven walls). Also because it was facing the main rambla boulevard, some will find it very noisy although it was ok with us because we are heavy sleepers. Overall it's still a good choice for the price. I would compare with the Iberostar on the other side of the street.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It's 15 minutes away from Las Teresitas, a beautifull beach, and close to city centre. Perfect location.

The hotel is located on the "Rambla" which is a beautiful tree-lined boulevard with a central pedestrian walkway (paseo). This Boulevard surrounds the city center in a semicircle and gives you great access to waking into town or taking public transportation. There is a trolley stop about 4 block to the west that takes you into town or up the mountain to La Laguna. The hotel sits next to a gorgeous park filled with tall palm trees and tropical flowers. A pleasant walk through the park leads you towards the city center which is full of wide pedestrian streets and small alleys for exploring and bar-hopping. Very reminiscent of a small, tropical Madrid. As for the hotel itself, aside from the great location, the staff was excellent, always friendly and gave us great advice on things to see and do. I recommend the guided trip to El Teid Volcano, but everything else was done pretty much on our own on public transport with the hotel staff telling us what bus # to take. The room was immaculately maintained, while the cleaning staff was rarely seen (a very nice touch). And the price was probably a third of what you'd expect to pay for such a nice hotel in such a great location. As for the negative reviews about the noise. I didn't find it to be any different from any other older, urban hotel. We did not eat in the restaurant, but is looked nice. We did have drinks in the bar one night, and the service was very friendly and prices reasonable. 5 stars all around.
