Barceló Santa Cruz Contemporáneo

We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights and, it was a great experience thoughout the trip. All the staff were very nice and very helpful. We had nothing planned for our trip as we booked it last minute, but we got a lot of recommendations, from the staff at reception, and lots of help with planning. The restaurants they suggested for us were also excellent. The rooms were also, cleaned daily and to a very high standard. There was always someone around to help. We are both very pleased with our booking and would definitely return here. Highly recommended!

I was a bit apprehensive before arriving having read some of the reviews This was our first trip to this lovely city and friendly hotel .All staff at the reception desk were so helpful from the moment we checked in we arrived late and were still offered Dinner even though restaurant was closing We got a room which was spacious with a lovely big balcony overlooking the port area and sea and could also see the lovely mountains also, The hotel is situated near the beautiful Parque Garcia Sanabria where you will find Cafe Strass--great for a daytime coffee and lunchtime tapasand evening tapas. Its also about a 10 minute walk to the center of town. Taxis are very inexpensive here in the capital Again on the hotels information recommendations we took the nearby tram to the beautiful UNESCO town of La Laguana. The pool was so lovely for a quick dip after long day although wish it was bigger this hotel would easily get a 4 star grading don't know why its only a 3 did really enjoy drinks and coffee in the lovely Cafe Bar area. Breakfast was great it was buffet with plenty of choice. Dinner was also buffet and we had no complaints food was exceptional The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and spoke some English.They helped us to arrange a trip to La Gomera, which we really enjoyed. The hotel is in a quiet area and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening have a wee drink. The only thing I found disappointing was the small pool area and very small swimming pool

we stayed for 4 nights August 2016. lovely big room, super bathroom. reception staff very professional with very good English. ground floor bar with terrace. small swimming pool on roof but limited opening times. limited amount of free underground parking but street parking available too

Good location close to transport. Breakfast choice extensive and very reasonable cost wise. Small pool area on 5th floor, which closes, for some crazy reason, between 2 and 4.30pm. Lovely park just over the road

I had a great time at the hotel, good quality for decent price,welcoming and nice staff.

Modern hotel - pool not open until June. Friendly staff and good bar food but don't try eating in the bar if there's a Spanish football match on the TV - the locals arrive in force. Don't get a rear room facing the bar behind the hotel if you aim on sleeping before about 3.00 a.m.

Two nights in this great city watching the cruise ships come and go, reminds me of Barcelona. Stayed here a couple of years ago so knew how good it was. Caught the tram up to La Laguna, €1.35 each way with so many historic buildings and museums, well worth a visit.

Can't really comment, literally slept there for one night and left early in te morning. It did the job for what we needed. Might be s personal thing, but I didn't sleep one bit, mattresse was spongy soft and I just couldn't get comfortable.

Pleasant modern hotel, friendly helpful staff, excellent rooms.

The hotel is good. A bit far from the city centre but overall warthy for money.
