"Stay at the palladium"

2.0

Workers at the bars and restaurants and à la cartes were brilliant but the hotel was old and poor and segregation between the TRS yucatan and white sands vs the colonial and kantenah was very poor we were treated poorly compared to the TRS and white sands and the fact they came over to the colonial side said a lot. The vegetarian options were very very limited and only ate pizza and chips everyday as that’s the only thing they didn’t have meat or chicken in as everything was stuff with meat and chicken. We paid $250 for a meal on the beach and the food was poor the waiter was great but the food was poor and they offered a spa day pass which was such a measly offer considering the price we paid and was very frustrating considering we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. They kept trying to squeeze more money out of us asking for extra charges and trying to get us to pay for an upgrade even though it was my wife’s 30th bday

We had an amazing Romantic Couples Massage at Zentropia. Our masseuses were Josefina and Bernice. Totally fantastic!! They both paid attention to how we felt and made sure we didn't hurt or feel uncomfortable. We will have to come back and see them again. We highly recommend!!

"Best Resort"

10.0

The service from the bell boys, front desk, bartenders, waiters etc are top notch. Everyone treated us with respect, went above and beyond the expectations. The resort, pools, restaurants and rooms were super clean. We traveled with my infant and everyone were very accommodating when it came to helping me prepare what I needed for my baby. I only have good things to say about the resort.

"Investigate the different levels/privileges before you choose"

8.0

We were two families travelling with teens. We all had a good time. Good resort. Clean, generally well staffed, excellent sports facilities. Lively in the evening. Good for teens who are outgoing and can make friends, but not overrun with spring breakers. No organized ice breakers or games for teens though. Staff were diligent about trying to prevent underage teens from accessing alcohol. That must be exhausting. The beach is not great for swimming but there were plenty of lounge chairs available on the beach and plenty of shade if you wanted it. A small but notable irritant was that those of us who booked basic rooms (mistakenly thinking it was only the room itself that would be lower quality) were very clearly made aware of our lower status. Our friends upgraded after arrival in order to have more sleeping space, and discovered that they had many privileges that were denied to those in the regular rooms. Like premium drinks, access to some spa facilities, better dinner reservation times, and of course more restaurants to choose from - we knew about that one in advance. It was OK, we all had fun regardless. We laughed about the different classes and categories based on what kind of wristband you had. It is normal to have different categories but at other resorts I have not felt the different class levels to be so blatant. For example, our first attempt at making a restaurant reservation: The only reservation they could offer was three days out, at 9:30 pm, at a restaurant that was not our preference. I expressed my disappointment and the trainee concierge looked again at his screen and started to say "what about this one, tomorrow at 8:00..." and then his supervisor leaned in and told him "no, that's for a different category". Hm. When we did go to our 9:30 dinner the place was almost empty. The staff were anxious for us to finish our meal so they could close up. If I were to consider going to this resort again I would investigate the different levels and make an informed decision based on what would and would not be included for the price. A bit more feedback, more intended for the hotel: - All restaurant staff were friendly, but they are busy so service was hit and miss. Omar, in the poolside buffet restaurant, provided the best service; he took our drink orders, served them, and came back to check on us. We tried to sit in his section whenever we could. - We appreciate that the front desk and each restaurant host asked us about allergies; however, I don't know what they did with that information. My daughter had an allergic reaction to a condiment that was not labelled. We told the staff about it. It is understandable that a person with food allergies must be extra cautious at a buffet. I think all the staff questions about allergies gave me a bit of a false sense of security, my mistake.

"Secret Pool – A Hidden Gem"

10.0

My wife and I are wrapping up another wonderful stay at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya, and once again, the Secret Pool was one of our favorite spots. Tucked away in the jungle between the Colonial and White Sands Select sections, it offers exactly what we look for—quiet, relaxing, and away from the crowds. The pool and surrounding facilities are consistently clean and well maintained, a credit to the staff who take pride in keeping it that way. A special thank you to Marcelino at the bar. He makes excellent drinks, keeps the beer perfectly cold, and always makes sure everything is running smoothly. What really stands out is that he remembers me by name every time we visit. We’ve been coming here since 2015, and experiences like this are why we keep returning.
