Duffin Cove Oceanfront Lodging

The view from our balcony at Duffin Cove was absolutely spectacular! We were there for a couple of days in January we actually had the entire place to ourselves which was a bonus. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful with suggestions about activites during our stay. The hotel was meticulously clean and everything was quite comfortable. The private beach was a great spot to watch the sunset. Great places to eat in Tofino with many within walking distance of the hotel. I recommend visiting Tofino during off peak season to avoid the crowds and heavy demand on the eating establishments. The shops were really cute and offered quite a variety of souvenirs crafted by local artisans. Would definitely stay at Duffin Cove again. Great experience!!

Nice hotel in a great location. Walking distance to downtown Tofino. We stayed in one of the oceanfront cabins..... it was okay, but not sure it was worth $499/ night in the off season. Oh, and a lot of stairs to carry your luggage up and down!

The property has a beautiful view from the rooms and is super convenient to walk into town for dinner or local shops. The only thing to be improved would be to add more parking as the parking lot was often full just after dinner and difficult to find a spot. We had a lovely stay!

Our specific top floor unit had an incredible view. Everything in town is easily walkable in a couple of minutes. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.

Walkable to many restaurants the pier (for boat tours). has dedicated parking for hotel. I believe all rooms have a view of the water - sunsets were incredible. this was one of the lower $ options in Tofino and worth it!

A beautiful and peaceful location overlooking the eponymous cove. It’s impossible to overemphasize the relaxing feeling of falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

Brilliant location! Loved it! Quite serene and peaceful with spectacular views. Front Desk staff were exceptional! Very informative and attentive to our needs and requests. Don't forget to ask about the discount at the Bear Bierhaus, too!!

After extensive research on here we chose Duffin Cove for 6 nights during our two weeks Canada holiday. We drove to Tofino after a few days in Victoria which went well. The hotel is easy to find at the end of the road in Tofino with dedicated car park which is deep gravel that you cannot roll a suitcase on. Location is perfect for us as it’s quiet but in the thick of things and the best blend of the other hotels we saw in Tofino. Check in was great, with a WhatsApp received earlier in the day when we luckily picked up some WiFi enroute. We knew there were steps which were fine, view is beautiful, so peaceful and just what we wanted. We spied a kettle on some of their social media so I asked at reception for one which was provided no problem to make cups of tea instead of relying on coffee flavoured nearly boiling water from the coffee machine, we were also offered some mugs which were gratefully received. The fridge in the room was welcome, we put our suitcases under the bed, unpacking into the drawers. There was some black mould on the ceiling and around the shower as well as squashed mosquito marks on the walls and ceiling. We weren’t bothered about it not being a full service hotel, we got towels replaced a couple of times, requested bins were emptied and got more toilet roll (bit stingy) by asking via WhatsApp. They kindly booked us whale and bear watching trips as well as a sea plane flight to the hot springs which we would really recommend. Also gave advice on using the laundromat was welcome - just have CAN dollar notes as there is a change machine. We did a mix of eating out and a few meals in the room with food from the great COOP.
