Kn Hotel Matas Blancas - Solo Adultos

We arrived at this hotel having read the reviews. Greeted by lovely staff Jesus & Angel. We were allocated 232. Found the room easily and it was very very tired, not particularly clean and I found a dirty sock wedged behind the tv on the wall, some Mr Kipling Battenberg box and an empty Walkers cheese and onion crisp packet in the wardrobe, over 50 fag ends in the garden area of our patio and variations on the flooring. We had the rubbish taken away along with the sock. Who the hell puts dirty socks behind a tv ?? The fag ends stayed in the garden until Tuesday, 3 full nights of our stay before we changed rooms to 214. This was a revamped spotless room with a pool view and much brighter and nice, and more comfortable mattresses too. Although the tv didn't work as well as the dirty room which had a smart tv, that wasn't a real problem. We upgraded to AI but the drinks are absolutely dreadful. The bars have funny opening times and the drinks are tasteless so we gave up with those. Which brings me on to the entertainment! This is poor, we stayed for the Karaoke one evening and the Quiz. These events descended into an absolutely dreadful experience of the chosen few who thought they could sing taking over as the entertainment for the evening. It was just a drunken embarrassment to watch. The quiz was overtaken by a rather loud and possibly inebriated British girl who decided she had the hump after being disqualified for my the quiz for cheating, and disrupting the whole evening by finally being told how much of an embarrassment she was and to mind her language on the microphone swearing at everyone. After that she never smiled again all week, probably due to being told off, bearing in mind this is an adult only hotel the behaviour was just embarrassing. I have no idea how the large tall gentleman who was completely parametric fell on a tiny size 6 lady, resulting in glass's being smashed all over the roof top bar. Staying at this hotel was probably the worst experience we've had in a long time, the behaviour of the select few in this hotel was just horrendous. Now we go to the pool, which is clean although to get a sun bed is nigh on impossible unless you queue at 1000 for opening time. Food was ok, there was everything you could think of, although a bit like warm, there are 2 coffee machines which are only unlocked for breakfast. Now, the drinks in the buffet are just as bad, the beer on tap is just froth, the post mix up drinks such as sprite, Pepsi are awful and are over gassed and run out constantly. The restaurant staff are lovely though , although a service did not go by without them dropping plates , it was quite funny in the end! There is no option for a hot drink in the room unless you take your own travel kettle, take an extension lead too as plug sockets as very scarce and don't expect usb points. Towels were changed when we left a note, although the cleaning does leave a bit to be desired. On checking out I asked reception the time which I was told 1200. At 11.39 the cleaner was trying to get us out of the room mid shower to clean it and wouldn't go, she didn't believe the time I was told. This hotel is bare, clinical and just has an uninviting area to sit in reception and roof top bar ( which only opens 1830-1200) so you can't even get a coffee there in the day time. The spa I never saw in use although I did go in and have a look, and there was no receptionist or anyone at all. This hotel could be so much more than it is. It fails miserably, even a few plants would brighten it up, it's like a dirty hospital. We also nearly missed the transfer due to the wrong time being printed on the wall, however I don't feel this was the hotels fault, the bus drive me wasn't shoot when I tried to explain that the wall said 1530, when he was shouting at us in reception at 14.25 ! I gave up in the end to honest. Now, as for people saying there is nothing around this hotel the isn't true, it is up a hill away from the main things but if you step out and walk there's quite a bit. There is 2 small supermarket type shops just around the corner, a Spanish bar and a huge Chinese shop that sells absolutely everything under the sun, it is hidden behind the Spanish bar and Tonysnonsolo ( which never saw open) There's a market on Wednesday and Sunday, there's the bus stop right by that that can take you you to Morro Jable, there's bars and restaurants down the front which we used every night and every meal we had out was amazing, you just need to look and join some fb groups like " what's on in Costa Calma " then you'll have a great time ! 😀 My last point is that they don't tell you much about the hotel unless you ask, there needs to be some kind of folder in the rooms for this information

Me and Charlotte had a 10-day fantastic time at Kn Matas Blancas. Had no issues with the cleaner. Who has this negative feedback to your hotel rubbish. The food was OK and the drink was good. , pillows were very uncomfortable. Could you have done with two pillows. The weather was perfect and the pool was fantastic. The staff were fantastic. Relaxing and lovely trip away. This is actually one of the best all-inclusive holidays we've done, including hotel comforts. All staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They do their best to keep you happy and ensure your stay is comfortable. There was plenty of variety on food, though plenty of home comforts like chips and pizza if you're unsure. I'm not a huge tea drinker, but I did hear other guests request kettles - though I believe these can be hired from the hotel for a small deposit. The hotel also has a sustainability policy in place, which is great to see. Housekeeping will only change your beds and towels when you request them (which is easy enough to do - pop a note on your pillow and towels in the shower). Rightly so, they also request a €1 deposit for a cup you can keep all week, that's safe for use around the pool and that are returned at the end of your stay with your money given back. Where they can cut down on unnecessary washing, they do and it's a great idea. The rooms are incredibly spacious as well, and have some of the more comfortable beds compared to other hotels we've stayed at before - but that's all preference really. Our room also had a mini fridge, which was great for water. We also had blankets in the cupboards too and pool towels supplied by the hotel. The swimming pools are amazing - salt water! All different depths too so you can swim where you feel comfortable. The hotel advertises a nudist area, but no-one really used this during our stay. The hotel gym also had plenty of space and opportunity to work out. There's a spa on site too that you pay a small fee to use. The hotel is also wheelchair accessible, with ramps and slopes around the buildings and into them, as well as a lift for guests to use that reaches all floors. I would perhaps make a small suggestion to check for trip hazards are there is a little sign of wear and tear outside on the tiles (but it's not drastic). The hotel is also about 15-20 minute walk from the beach and about 20-30 minutes walk from various shops. We also visited to the showroom on the live music night where we heard the incredible voice of Angelson who had people up and dancing! A lot of the negative reviews are actually addressing the 11-11 all-inclusive rule, but your breakfast is included and you can grab coffee and refreshments from 10:30am when the snack bar opens. At 11pm, the hotel has a rule about charging for drinks, which has been a standard practice at other hotels we've visited in other countries.

The staff are wonderful but the hotel is let down by its overall decor and cleanliness . There were never any queues at the bars but there were a few occasions where there was very little left to eat at the buffet. And I did find a little extra left for me in the room by the previous guest, did tell reception but nothing was done about it. If anyone is staying in room 109 check if it is still there… see photo .. also asked for clean towels 3 times and had to resort to asking a passing cleaner if I could have one . Still enjoyed myself and meet some really nice people..

la chambre était très bien , l'accueil ok mais seulement une personne parle le français à la réception !!! , les plats étaient bon , le bar une horreur avec les tables encombrées de verres des anglais , pas enlevées , et bien sûr les anglais avec le all inclusive qui boivent toute la journée et le soir ça crie jusqu'à minuit passée

The hotel is average and not upto its star rating, the food is not good, the kitchen staff just don't understand how to cook, its either over cooked or under cooked, the cleanliness is average, most of the staff are great, now the dark side of the hotel, on the day before I left one of the cleaning ladies came to service my room, I had just returned from the shop after getting some water, I unfortunately left my wallet by the TV in my room, I went out onto the terrace with some water to give the cleaner the opportunity to clean my room, when she left and I picked up my wallet I realised that she had taken €50 from it, I informed reception and sent an email, I know who it was, the hotel knows who it was, simply by checking who was on duty cleaning my floor that day, the response i received from Juan, I assume he is management, was i should have a safe deposit box, I did have one, I had just returned to my room with my water and dropped my wallet by the TV, I never expected a member of the staff to let herself into my room and help herself to my money, they don't accept that they have a member of staff who has access to the guests rooms who is dishonest, if you visit this hotel do not leave anything of value out, even if you are in the room and locked your door because the staff can just walk in and help themselves, I will never return there and never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very disappointing! The hotel reception area itself is sparking clean shame you can not say the same about the rest of the hotel. The pool is cleaned daily but the surrounding areas are filthy dirty and your feet will end up black from walking around in bare feet. There is also very little shade around the pool so everyone is fighting for the umbrellas that are there and very little respite from the hottest part of the day. The food is awful with no flavour or taste to anything and was only ever luke warm never ever hot. We had to eat out a few times because of this. In the 10 days that we were there our bed was not changed once even when I asked at reception it was never done. Towels were rarely changed and had to ask reception several times for clean ones. There was hair in draws from previous guests and the bed was broken and dipped in the middle so had constant back ache. Unfortunately we had some very noisy neighbours and they just did not know how to close a door without slamming it, the hotel needs to invest in some soft closing doors. If you are expecting air con in the rooms please do not expect to much because it really is just sub standard. There was a mixture of people here for the first week and lots of solo travellers which were all mixing together so was lovely to see, but after that shall we just say that the new people that turned up were making the most of the all inclusive drinks and were extremely loud which is just not for me. We met some amazing people which made our holiday and if it wasn't for them I think we would have considered coming home early and we have never thought that before on any break.

Have just returned from a 7 day half board stay. On arrival staff were very friendly, hotel was clean, room was clean, tidy and airy with a view over the pool. Had air conditioning which was a bonus. Food is what you expect from a 3/4 star hotel was edible and always found something to eat. Entertainment was a little hit and miss, with late changes to that advertised but the animation guy was amazing at getting guests involved in the daily activities round the pool, he was very energetic and friendly. However, although mostly positive day 5 of our stay, changed when money was taken by the maid and when reported hotel weren’t bothered that a member of their staff who guests are meant to be able to trust had rifled through a guests possessions and taken money that was hidden and out of sight. There was no apology, and was told it would be investigated. As this was a day before leaving never found out the outcome or even the offer of reimbursement. Also on a bit of a negative, there were a few guests who took the all inclusive too far, constantly drunk foul language and no respect for others. Location is quite a way out so if not looking to leave the hotel this would be the ideal place however if your one that likes a walk around and explore this isn’t the place for you as would need a taxi or a 20+ minute walk. Would highly recommend the Mamma Mia restaurant that was in the nearby town. On our experience we wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.

This hotel ticks all the boxes regarding facilities cleanliness except the gym which is dirty with filthy machines and missing equipment .The is a outstanding spa area which is very well maintained and equipped . This hotel is lacking where food is concerned. The restaurant is underperforming in many ways. The food is bland and barely warm. Always a queue for the ONE coffee machine. There is an extra machine in the far corner but is not switched on until later on in the service. No coffee is available for lunch and dinner service Had to ask for the fresh fruit machine to be switched on at breakfast and the list goes on. If this side of the business was improved the star rating would improve dramatically. This is our second visit which on the whole is great hotel which could improve dramatically with a few changes. The staff are courteous and polite and very hard working especially ROSI in the bar and restaurant who is a gem and an asset to the business.

The hotel is of a good quality - comfy beds and lovely swiming pool area with a entertiment. Food wise everyone will find something.
