POSSITIVES Pool area nice , rooms good with good shower . Enjoyed food most of time good choice . NEGATIVES few heavy loud drinkers with a few kick offs , even police involved on 2 occasions. Place is ok for sunbathing but not alot else to do . Long ish walk into town which is amble thru some nice palm trees 🌴. However town is pityfully small with rip off trinket shops , due to lack of competition . Beach is beautiful but not a lot of coffee shops or even beach beds . All in all not bad for what you pay but wouldn't go back . But thanks to polite staff for stay anyway .

If you are a solo traveller then this hotel is welcoming and friendly to all whatever your age. You can choose to take part in as much or as little as you want during your stay. Entertainment in the evening wasn’t up to much but the bingo night was fun and so was the karaoke. All inclusive here is somewhat disappointing. After 11pm you have to pay for your drinks. The snack bar cooks food to order but doesn’t serve food between 1-3pm as the restaurant is open then. All the hot food at meal times is lukewarm at best but you can heat it up in the microwave provided. Not really what you would expect to have to do. The food on offer is ok but if you’re expecting gourmet meals and choices then you will be disappointed. Room cleaning is also a bit hit and miss and they forgot mine twice during a week’s stay. Please note that it is a quiet resort with not much in the way of bars/restaurants/nightlife etc. The beach is a good 15 minute walk from the hotel but it is worth visiting and there is a nice beach bar. A taxi back to the hotel will cost 4-5 euros. All the hotel staff were helpful and friendly and did their best to make sure your stay was good. If you’re on a jet2 holiday you get 2 hours in the spa included. It is worth visiting. The pool areas were clean and well kept but they don’t open until 10am and shut at 6pm prompt. Visit the market and the beach during your stay - both are worth it. Overall I enjoyed my stay but I don’t think I would return to this hotel or Costa Calma.

Experience racism & physical abuse. A staff member put his hands on me and punched me. I’m traumatised and feel unsafe. The manager and stafff did nothing about it and told us it’s our fault? The worker that did this to me is still here attacking me with verbal abuse. The hotel is dirty old and dusty. Food is terrible made me sick. Spa you have to pay extra. Facilities don’t work. The people here are all racist and the manager is useless. No security on property. Situation wasn’t delt with we was told to leave. Horrible place. Avoid

Is there any shops at all near this hotel or close to it as I like to get out and go for walks around the shops and stuff or go out for a walk

Enjoyed a trip here with my partner. After reading some reviews I was a bit worried but I think some are under the wrong impression that this is anything but a budget hotel offering all-inclusive. Food quality was good, it is indeed warm rather than hot but usually when you sign up for a buffet experience that is what you expect and you don't have a paddy about it. The drinks were good but sadly only a few options were included in all-inclusive and it's a bit unclear what you have to pay for sometimes. I also unfortunately found the snack bar lacking but simply waited for the aforementioned food, the subjective quality could vary but at every meal we had something we enjoyed and the dessert was always quite good. The staff left some food for us on the first night as we arrived at 11 o'clock due to some delays. I do wish the staff had made it clearer how to ask for your room to be cleaned up, as you need to leave a slip in a certain place to get new towels or your sheets cleaned. I think the cleaners may be understaffed as it took a while (they're about from 8 til 4) to do their thing. I think a sweep of the floors could've also been beneficial both indoors and out. Reception were helpful. I asked for extra pillows and got them without issue a few hours later. Location is remote but this was fine, we did not have many plans to leave the hotel anyway and liked the relative quiet of the resort alongside the fact it is adult's only, but some guests could certainly be quite loud of their own accord. Also if you book here with Jet2 you apparently get 2 hours free in the spa per day.

I have been here a few times now and always found the staff friendly, rooms clean. The food like any buffet is not warm enough but a microwave is provided and that sorts out any issues. This time however I have found an issue with cleanliness and needed to ask for my room to be sorted after bins etc had been left for 4 days. The pool area wasn't properly cleaned the 2 weeks I was there, with dirty cups etc strewn on the floor the next day even after it had apparently been cleaned. The pool itself is cleaned every morning but not the surrounding area, there isn't any excuse as you can't even access that area until after 10.00am giving plenty of time to clean it. The music can be loud depending on guests, as the entertainment guy puts music on that's asked rather than the usual mixed tracks to suit all ages, so this week it's been like Ibiza, which only encourages those guests to be loud and drunk but nothing gets said. Costa Calma is no longer calm I'm afraid, it's dirty and noisy.

think it’s fair to say the reviews don’t really do this hotel justice. We arrived a bit apprehensive after reading some mixed comments online - but honestly, our experience couldn’t have been better. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, the food was excellent (plenty of choice and always something tasty), and the rooms were spotless. Sure, the food wasn’t piping hot every time, but it was fresh, varied, and really enjoyable. Entertainment was another nice surprise — good quality and fun, though it could definitely be advertised a bit better around the hotel. Overall, we had a great time and came away really happy. Thank you to everyone at KN Matas Blancas for a lovely stay.

Don’t take notice of the negative reviews - you can’t please all the people all of the time. Location: 1 hour from airport, situated at the top of a long hill, very little to do outside of the hotel. So if you want to party the night away then this is not for you. Hotel: clean, basic rooms with TV (only English Channel is BBC news 24). There is a fridge and safe, table and two chairs, dressing table and a wardrobe which only has four hangers, so consider bringing some with you. Shower is ok however, the water temperature fluctuates from what you to set then to boiling hot on its own so beware! Rooms are cleaned every day including fresh towels. Staff are friendly and polite especially the management. Food: lots of choice but anything that is supposed to be hot, is warm at best. There is a microwave to heat it up if you want to, but you shouldn’t have to do that. The next item on my list is a bit contentious; guests! This cannot be levelled at the hotel as they have no idea who will be staying there but in our experience, beware, lol! The hotel is ‘adults only’ and it is not unreasonable to expect adults to act that way! There were groups of men (30 - 50 year olds who should know better) thinking it was funny to get perpetually drunk and swear at each other wherever they went; poolside, restaurant, entertainment room. Loud, brash and very opinionated especially towards women. Imagine 17 year old boys acting as if they own the place and you’ll have some idea. In the whole, if you want to lay in the sun and do very little else then this is the place for you.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I could fault nothing .I arrived at 11 Pm and the staff had a meal waiting for me in my room. Checking in was simple and fast. Everywhere was super clean ,The food in the restaurant was so varied ,well cooked and all tastes catered for. Staff really happy to help and always cheerful. The gym was clean with lots of equipment, I will definitely return.
