Bayview Resort Phi Phi Island - Beach Front Resort

We were not impressed with the following: 1. The toilet by the pools are extremely dirty and not maintained at all. 2. The pool is poorly maintained and quite far from the rooms. 3. The travel to the room is really steep, this can become a problem if you stay for a few nights. 4. They advertised free bottle water however make you pay an extreme amount for it when used. 5. Their restaurant is also extremely expensive compared to the rest of the island. Other than that their staff are quite helpful where they can be.

We got the grand deluxe sea view and the view was AMAZING! We couldn’t get enough of our view! The room was nice, the only issue we had was the shower drain was not working properly, so the water after you took a shower would not go down the drain, which we had to tell the staff twice in the two nights we stayed there. It is an open air bathroom so the other slight issue was that we had quiet a few lizards that were running around and my girlfriend hates lizards so yea bathroom door was always closed. The water in the hotel was also kind of dirty, I’m not sure if it’s the entire island or not, but the water kinda stings your eyes, and it also has a weird taste to it. Breakfast was actually REALLY good and it was only 300B per person and it was a buffet with pancakes, a person who makes your omelets, coffee, fruit, juices, and many other food options such as potatoes. We loved the hotel simply because of the location which was kinda private, and it was simply an amazing view from the balcony. I will post a pic at the bottom.

Very disappointed have stayed at same resort couple of years ago but will not stay again. Swimming pool swarming with mosquitos, A/C in room not working yet maintenance insisted it was finally fixed it don’t need this on holiday especially as not a cheap hotel. Not value for money

There were a lot more hills than the photos showed. My legs got a real workout getting to and from our bungalow.

The beachside location of the property was awesome as it seemed like the hotel guests had their own private beach area. The rooms are their own separate building scattered on a hillside, so it's a trek to your room whether it be up and/or further away. However the view is great! Washrooms didn't seem that clean though. There needs to be more floor towels to dry our feet. Or even slippers. There will inevitably be sand on our feet from walking up to our rooms from the beach. The hose for washing our feet is located next to the toilet in the washroom and it doesn't allow me to wash the sand down the drain,so the sand just sits in the middle of the washroom. That means every time I go into the washroom, I get sandy feet. The faucets & shower handles also don't look clean, there's a bit of rust/stains on it. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. There's also a small balcony to enjoy the view or dry your clothes.

When we arrived they told us they didn't have running water the day before we got there. Once we got to our room the sink, toilet, and shower water were all brown. The toilet water was brown the entire stay the shower water and sink water cleared up the second day but the shower water pressure was really low and if we put it higher it was hot enough to burn your skin. I was disappointed in my choice to stay here. The location was really nice and staff was nice as well.

The hotel was very basic. The mattress in the room was is disrepair and uncomfortable. They were unprepared for our arrival. The pool is miles away and not very nice although they did provide sunbeds with matress there. The beach restaurant was nice however the issue was with the fact that sunbeds had no mattress or parasols. so it was very uncomfortable on the beach. The view was amazing, sand was fine, they provide transport from the pier, but it was hard to enjoy them due to the facts mentioned.

I have booked 3 nights stay with king bed room. The reception told me there is only twin bed room avaliable but disappointed that there is no further room arrangement even on the next 2 nights or any compensation. Bell boy service is nice and helpful. Staff at tourist information counter is nice. The room condition is not good. White towels are yellow. The bed cover with dirt marks. We are not sure if all hotels on phi phi are the same as it is a more nature place which thing should be more natural? The bar and beach are nice. Climbing up stairs back to room every time is a bit tough but manageable.

Nice and clean, comfortable bed and beautiful view. We had weak water pressure and air conditioning, the former could be because we had an apartment high up

The Bay View is a lovely property located at the edge of town so you don’t get noise and disturbance from all the partying, yet it is close enough that you can walk to all the restaurants and bars in minutes. We loved our stay there.
