The hotel is in walking distance from the historic center, stores, restaurants, banks and shops. Chai is the cafe restaurant downstairs it has both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a nice buffet spread on the weekends for breakfast-brunch. They also have an a la carte menu with a variety of foods, cafe drinks and bar options to satisfy most. The hotel staff I encountered were helpful they carried up my luggage to my room, fixed an issue I had with the tv reception, brought my order to my room and towels when requested. The restaurant staff was friendly, as well.

The room I booked was overlooked the street side and there are 2 bars on the same block. Unfortunately, you can hear the music and bar fights from across the street into the early hours of the morning. I recommend using sleep sounds to muffle the noise.

Fantastic location. Del Carmen is right in the middle of restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to Guadalajara's historic centre. The attached restaurant provides great value and we enjoyed both our lattes and breakfast. I highly recommend Del Carmen.

Front lady not very helpful , she was to busy talking to her piers and worry more about the restaurant then us. The room was beautiful and very large , comfy bed beautiful bathroom and decore. The room was very noisy.

Customer service and a noise proof room

The elevator was broken and stairs did not have enough light. The towels were nor very confortable and the room itself is designed in a way that was not comfortable. The restaurant was great and the location is ideal, very close to the cetro historico.

great location, great building unfortunately poorly maintained. a green wall inside the patio has dried up and looks unclean. we could not get hot water for days and we’re only able to get it once we really upset.

The room was well decorated with cool art. Staff seemed really nice…but that’s about it. Our key worked half the time. The other half we had to get someone from the staff to let us in since the key would not work. They said they were going to get a locksmith to fix the issue but that never happened. Also, it is very loud with the lobby/restaurant downstairs. They set up a weekend brunch nice and early and you can hear all the table being dragged and set up. And last but not least, we had no hot water to shower with the last two days. Would not recommend and will not be back.
