Retaj Moroni Hotel

The gardens were lovely and beautifully kept. The sea view was good and the sea breeze very welcome. Most of the staff were lovely and all spoke some English

There was a lack of information about the hotel - I never found out what the restaurant hours were! The choice of food was limited - it was Ramadan which may not have helped. The pool did not look very clean. There were sun loungers but none with a sun shade, which would have been essential. There was a kettle and coffee in the room with sugar but no creamer. The sea looked lovely but there was no access to it. The buildings need a lot of updating but this is a poor African country so I did not have high expectations.

Some aspects need renovation. The lobby should be air conditioned and cleaned. There were too many mosquitoes ! The faucets should be fixed, so sufficient hot water should come out. The pools should be cleaned and should contain water. They are eyesores !

The room was nice and breakfast was great.

The pool did not have water in it at any time during my stay, it's false advertisement. The only reason I decided to pay more to stay at this hotel rather than another one was because they claimed to have a swimming pool. I asked them if they plan to fix the pool and did not receive a response. I didn't feel the staff were honest. *Do not book any taxi through the hotel, they will rip you off and charge you 6x what it costs if you just take a taxi yourself. You can just walk out the front door and there will be normal priced taxis.
