The Highwayman Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean. The atmosphere and views were amazing. The hotel is situated by the river, where you can sit and drink coffee..

It's a lovely location at the top end of the main Kidlington Street, huge car park, spacious Inn next to the canal. The Inn is homely, the staff are very pleasant and helpful, beds comfortable, decent space within the room and decent size bathroom. I've stayed in rooms 2 and 4 now and both fine. It's also often half the price of the premier Inn up the road so great value really. I'm happy to keep stopping here.

There is room for improvement, the landing does smell a bit of the kitchen, the breakfast option is served at a time any business travellers will have left but there's only a handful of rooms so I guess it's not practical to have staff in early.

The location was perfect for us as we had business at the airport which was a 10 minute walk away. Check in was super easy. The room was warm and tidy and the shower was good. The beds were comfortable. The parking was easy and close and free. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate sachets and a kettle and milk available in the room.😻

It was all a tiny bit rough round the edges, but it was cheap. The walls are a bit thin and it felt like the other guests were very close. The extractor fans are really noisy and you can hear the fans in the other guests rooms too. The room I was in was quite noisy because of the road ( traffic ) at the front. The curtains at the front were thin and white so they didn’t block out much light in the morning when the sun arose.
