Mattresses need upgrading. These were like budget ones you get for kids' beds from Ikea.

This was our third visit to this hotel, the first two being some years ago. This time we only stayed one night in transit elsewhere. This is a super little hotel with clean comfortable rooms, a cosy lounge to sit and read or play cards, one of the best cooked English breakfasts you can ever hope to enjoy and two outstanding owners who really make you feel at home. This would be a super base for anyone wishing to explore Exmoor or the other costal locations such as Blue Anchor, Minehead and Linton. We would not hesitate to stay there again and recommend it without reservation.

Very nice staff and a really good supper- excellent fresh fish. Very dog friendly but also smart and well located.

Lovely location, we were in room 6 with sea view, room was cosy tastefully decorated, clean and bed very comfortable, ideal fir our 1 night stay while hiking coastal path. Staff friendly and great quality tasty breakfast. Exceeded our expectations
