The room. Old tired in need of a lot of TLC. Mattress ancient. Uncomfortable. Hot water ok, but shower rubbish. Noisy all night long from extractor fans or bar fridges or something else directly below room. No chance of getting a good nights sleep.

Not a very comfortable bed, we aren't big people but we could feel the bed frame. Sticky surfaces, I had to peel everything off the table/cupboard tops. A very weak shower that doesn't get very hot. Very thin walls, you could hear everything in neighbouring rooms. Unfortunately it seemed as bad as Premier Inn hotels, which I consider the worst.
GBThis was a good old fashioned country pub. The young guy behind the bar greeted us with a smile, showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know. He was literally running a bar, a restaurant, serving food etc on his own, and for this he deserves a huge pay rise. We'd certainly return without question.
Just minor things we didn't like too much. For me, I would have preferred plumper pillows. The ones provided were very thin and flat. Providing a chair would have been a nice addition also. Lastly, we stayed for just one night in room 1 so having a shower wasn't a deal breaker, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to get into the shower due to the position of the shower door.

The room was very hot. Options for food were limited: no dinner on Mondays or Tuesdays (we ended up having to get sandwiches from the local Spar shop) and also no breakfast, however there is a good baker and butcher further down the road for breakfast choices.

Checked in at 19.00 to be told the hotel closes at 20.00 but we had a key to get in and out Where do I start The bed was extremely uncomfortable There was no plug in the wash basin in the bathroom and no one about to ask for one as the hotel had closed and when we checked out there was still no one there I could have stood in the rain and got wetter than in the shower Dreadful hotel and was not worth what we paid

The Bar closed at 21:00 so we couldn’t have a drink at the bar before bed, the shower was very weak and wasn’t very clean, the bed was uncomfortable, and we didn’t sleep well as what sounded like a generator was constantly running through the night
