Generally run down... un weeded unpainted generally in need of a lot of TLC. Bathroom. Was filthy especially around the toilet. Junction box that should of been buried in wall was used to extend the kettle cord. Roof leaked in heavy rain due to air vent in dining room having no cover in outside

GBBasic accommodation that served its purpose and was adequate given the price of the room. Room was clean with basic furniture - carpet was new as were beds. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Sink and shower fittings were loose but did function perfectly. There was always plenty of hot water. Bathroom is in need of redecoration.
GBPerfect location for us as last-minute availability booking. The hosts were very helpful & welcoming even though the pub was very busy doing food ... Parking was free
The room & bathroom are ready for a refresh & some TLC. However, they served their purpose for our stop over.. The staircase leading to rooms & the corridor where the rooms are definitely requires a refresh & could be made more welcoming..
GBThe staff were very easy to deal with and easy going. The Plough is in a good location and it’s easy to get to Whitby etc from there.
The accommodation needs a bit of updating and a general lack of paint would make the place look a lot better but as the accommodation is under new management hopefully this will be happening soon.
GBLovely old pub, in a lovely village. Always get a good welcome, staff very friendly, clean and comfortable. What more do you need.
