GBGBStag are so welcoming, love it here, great base for visiting Ruswarp, Whitby and surrounding areas, food good, friendly pub and lovely warm fire, what else can you ask for.

The entrance hall is like a hostel entrance. Rooms are shabby and grubby, well in need of a refurb. Thinnest possible mattress, pillows and quilts. Mouldy grout around tiles, shower literally hanging off the wall.

No food available. Kitchen closed even though they were expecting us. Pillows were pathetic. The bed seemed to have sand in it which I had to bush off. There was no plug-in the sink. Everywhere looked as though it could do with some TLC.

Room was basic, rundown and water pressure non existent. Didn’t enjoy the stay at all.
