it was so well stocked with so many thoughtful amenities. we wanted for nothing. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. if I could think of anything I may want it would be a make up mirror so I could stand up and put my make up on. However I barely wore make up at the beach anyway so it was not a big deal we definitely would recommend this place

Super clean, nice extras like a cooler, beach towels and chairs. Outside shower for sand😁. Nice flowers when we arrived and lots of towels. Bed is really comfy too.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here! The location is amazing, close to most of the scenic drives, Ho’okipa Beach and Mama’s fish house is a 1 minute walk! We stayed in Orchid- Good size home with 2 bathrooms makes it convenient for a family of four. Well equipped kitchen and home. In addition they also provide you with beach towels, chairs etc. The property manager was very prompt, attentive and friendly!

Kaiholo Hale is about a mile east of Paia (15 minutes from the airport) - a cool, little, funky town on the north side of the island, with some great shops and excellent restaurants. Its location provided easy access to the things we most wanted to do while in Maui - Haleakala, the road to Hana, a helicopter tour. Even getting to Maalaea for our snorkeling trip to Molokini was easy (about 30 minutes). There are also some amazing beaches nearby. Ho'okipa beach is less than a mile east of Kaiholo Hale - where you can watch some of the best windsurfers in the world and every afternoon see loads of sea turtles come up on shore for the night. On the other side of town (about 2 miles away) is Baldwin Beach, a really pretty, long beach with a good amount of parking and a lifeguard stand. There are some really pretty smaller beaches nearby too, including Kuau Cove, the beach in front of Mama's Fish House, supposedly one of the best restaurants in America. Mama's is literally a minute's walk from Kaiholo Hale. I stayed in the Orchid Suite with my wife and 2 daughters (18 & 22). There's a bedroom and a foldout couch, and it was nice to have 2 bathrooms. The Orchid Suite also has a HUGE lanai - great for grilling. The place was perfect for us - clean, comfortable and extremely well-appointed. And the property manager was really responsive - even brought us more beach towels. The only downside is the WIFI. It was terrible. Other than that, it was perfect. We would def. stay here again.

"Decent, but wifi slow and can be noisy."

6.0

Overall the accommodation is good: clean rooms, spacious, good location, folding beach chairs available, good equipped kitchen etc. Unfortunately, there a two downsides which may or may not be important to you: wifi speed and noise. First of all the wifi speed is abysmal. I had to get work done and was not able to do so as it barely would load a website, let alone allow a video conference or even voice call. Also, downstairs, the cell phone signal strength is very weak, meaning you cannot use a hotspot either. Secondly, if you are in the downstairs suite then you are exposed to quite a bit of noise from the guests living above. You hear every step they take. Not great if you plan to go to bed early for that volcano sunrise or want to go to bed early with a jet lag. Again, the property is decent and the communication good - so it depends on you whether these two downsides are important to you. For me, however, it does not justify the $400 price tag.

Great location just east of Paia and right next to Mama's fish house. Easy access to a small beach with lots of rocks and broken shells - but fun place to look for shells. The Gardenia Suite had all the kitchen amenities, even a cooler to put your lunch provisions in while you are on the beach or mountain. Roomy enough for 3 people - 4 might be a stretch unless the kids are small. Covered parking with an electrical outlet. The front porch lanai is a bit limited in its view, but still was a nice place to eat lunch and breakfast. TV with Dish Network, worked fine, but there was not much we wanted to watch on TV, and who wants to watch TV on vacation in Maui? Maps and details about the property and surroundings were provided. It was easy to hear voices and music from the other suites in the house, but the AC units drowned them out. The manager (Terry) was very responsive to any concerns. All in all a wonderful experience.

It had everything we needed and more. Super comfortable and we loved the bed as well. So close to the beach and Paia strip. The only thing I could say I didn't like was you can hear the neighbors very well, phones and what not. But that's not doesn't change how much we loved it!!

Spacious unit with everything we needed - kitchen stuff, grill, giant laundry machines, etc. Would be perfect if there was access to a pool! Great jumping off point for the Road to Hana.
