Ramada by Wyndham Ulaanbaatar Citycenter

The hotel reception asked me to leave my passport at the front desk. When I asked the reason, he replied "Since we are 4 star hotel, the guests are required to leave their documents", which is so untrue...

I actually had high expectations that you know this hotel is world widely known. Right after I checked in my room, bathroom was not clean and room was dusty that I could not stop sneezing. Surprisingly wifi was very low. Staff were slow to take actions.

The owner of Ramada's coffee shop on the first floor (Cafe Restime) is a Korean man and there was no barista or employee, I sat there for 40 minutes waiting to order. My friend was staying at Ramada and we agreed to meet at 6pm. Since there was no service/no one , I finally bought food n drink from next door and came back and waited for my friend in the lobby coffee shop. The Korean owner suddenly appeared and does not speak English or Mongolian and he spoke in Korean loudly. Looks from his hands, he wanted me to leave since I had bought drink from somewhere else. I agreed and told him to give us 5 minutes to pack my computer and I will leave. But he raised his hands and screamed in Korean. OMG he raised his hands, because he couldn't understand Mongolian or English and couldn't communicate. Not a great place to go ladies...Be careful! Maybe the Korean culture allows him to raise his hands on customers? Maybe because we were ladies and Korean men disrespect women? You are not in Korea, you are in Mongolia dude! Scary, violent service......not acceptable!

I am very glad that I visited Mongolia. I liked the country and the hotel in which we stayed. Everything is thought out here, for guests. It is especially convenient that the shopping center is located directly in the hotel building. om is spacious. The bathroom is large and has everything you need. the buffet in the restaurant is delicious and varied. The restaurant is on the 17th floor, the same is very cozy. There is where to relax after work. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The wait staff is very friendly. But there are cons. Carpets in the rooms are old. Need to upgrade. Room has poor lighting. Blown bulbs do not change. My TV was not working in my room. The truth is then repaired.

Hotel is well located on Peace Avenue and close to malls and restaurants. Room size is adequate. Bed large and very comfy. Lighting ok but could be better. Bathroom clean and modern. There was no hot water until I went to reception to ask if they could please fix. Once it was connected, the shower was hot and strong. A/C is centrally controlled and far too hot. There is no sheet provided - only a doona and even with window open and a fan brought to the room it was difficult to sleep. Tea and coffee in room and enough power points for charging. Wifi throughout was good. The included breakfast was a very good hot and cold buffet selection.

I stayed again in Ramada Ulaanbaatar. The rooms are clean and fine, the service is good and atttentive, front desk really helps and gives good tips and recomendations. Beds are good and high quality, breakfast is okay (lot of Chinese influence and the European selection is there, but not too large). A good hotel for a fair price in the center of Ulaanbaatar.

I spent 4 nights at Ramada. The staff are all lovely, most speak advanced english too. There is a decent gym here and the Edge sky lounge has an awesome view of the city. Ramada sits above a mall, so it is easy to find a supermarket, pharmacy, atm, food etc. It is about a 10 min walk into the CBD with plenty of shops & malls on the way.

The staff is very helpful, cheerful, and ready. They speak English too.

Great value for the price. Room was comfortable, staff was great. Food on 17th floor was terrific. I liked the spa and had a good experience all around.
