"fall short of my expectation"

6.0

the bed is nice, cozy and big but, no ready towels in the room. when I requested for towels , we were given only 1 bath towel. the room is supposed to be good for 2, but we were given only 1 towel. the hotels I stayed in before have several towels for different uses. floor is not carpeted, no floor mat/rug outside of bathroom, no towel for foot. head board light needs cleaning. the pool needs some repainting there's a broken tile. some pool users didn't wear proper attire. breakfast is ok, but you need/ask the staff for refill coz they don't immediately refill the empty warmers. I ask for a butter, 1 staff told me that only 1 butter was left, however when my husband ask another staff for a butter, he gave him another butter. but in general, our stay was ok, except for those mentioned above.

"Nice Hotel - Not Ritz Carlton Brand"

8.0

I saw a reviewer who said he was disappointed considering Ritz Brand. Do you really think you can get a Ritz Carlton room for under $50? It's clean with hard wood floors, safe location, decent breakfast and nice staff. I actually preferred my stay there to Seda. This is a hidden gem for a budget traveler to Davao City who wants to have a nice place to stay. Thanks to Jessie and Ronald at front desk. Nice people.

"This hotel is far better than reviews suggest"

10.0

I have to be honest I am surprised at some of the negative reviews because it doesn't match my experience. I would probably give a 4 star review considering I have stayed at most hotels in Davao, but I am doing a 5 star to compensate a bit for some of the other negative listings which I can only assume are way more negative than they should be. 1) I got an online special so compared to other hotels, it was very well priced. 2) Room was good compared with similar hotels. The room had hardwood floors. It was clean. A/C worked perfectly. TV worked perfectly. I like the hardwood floors for allergies and so forth. 3) The staff were very friendly. From Ronald the bellman to the front desk people, I found everything to be fine. 4) Wifi was not strong in my room but was super fast in lobby. 5) Pool is very nice. 6) Breakfast is decent. It's not as big as Mandaya or Marco, but it's decent. You can ask for omelet. They have fresh fruit, many times fresh squeezed juices.

"They threatened my life"

2.0

I would not recommend this hotel to any one. My life was threatened in front of my whole family buy the security while we were in the pool. The security thought I did not understand the language so he was very shocked when I related to him in this local language. The management and I had agreed that there was no room for people in the hospitality industry like this but yet they went against our agreement and instead the same man seemed to be making jokes the next day about it. So I advise everyone that I and the majority of others do not stand or support this unacceptable behaviour.

"Ritz Davao."

8.0

Room rate at Sgd 53 per night is reasonable. Not much to see in the vicinity. Need to travel out. Taxi fare is cheap though.

"A hotel inside a nice garden"

8.0

It's a cozy hotel in a garden within a quiet and safe neighborhood in Davao City. The room is very spacious. Most of the staff (including the restaurant staff) are friendly. The ambience in their restaurant is relaxing and has a good view of the swimming pool.

"Overpriced with no internet."

2.0

The building is very old, although decently maintained it is certainly starting to show the mark of age. What I however do not find acceptable is the following. *Overpriced - This hotel isn't of high enough class/quality that it righteously can charge the price that it does for its rooms. *No Wifi - The rooms have no wifi coverage, and although you can get wifi in the lobby or at the pool, it is of such an inferior/glitchy/spotty quality that you'll be unable to get anything done at all should you be lucky enough to be able to connect.
