For visiting Alnwick and the surrounding area this is the perfect location. Set in the centre of the Town, 10mins or so walk from the Castle and the Gardens and also ideal for the local amenities - shops, Pubs, Local Market Day etc. Also a very short walk away from Barter Books. The rooms are small but cosy, quiet, have a small fridge, Iron, Ironing Board, Hairdryer and Tea & Coffee making facilities. Very comfy bed and whilst a little on the small side, the ensuite covers all needs. This was a Bed only stay so cannot comment on Breakfast. No other meals provided but there's a fantastic selection of eating places within short walking distance. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and Jo is a lovely Landlady.

There is off street parking but only for two cars and there are 6 rooms available. I didn't ask Jo what the arrangements were - did she have only two rooms booked at a time or is it a "first come, first served" basis for parking. There is parking out on the street, however this is a single yellow line road, so parking is time restricted.

Excellent location on the main road, but noise not a problem. Great shower. Nice room.

Bathroom was cramped, squeaky floorboards.
