The location

Extremely noisy - constant lift noises all night. Beds very old as are pillows, room was grubby. Phone flashing messages all night, no slippers or robes as stated.

Dinner was lovely, and great views

Reception door was broken and no one was staffing the front desk as arrived or left - gives a very unwelcoming first impression. Staff, when did they did appear, continued the unwelcoming style.

Room was tired and had many issues. I sent an email direct but got a generic sorry message. We stayed for my partners Birthday and the room was supposed to be one of the best available on the website. In reality it was in poor condition and not worth the extra i paid.

Air con didnt work, small oil filled heater in the room ! door to balcony rattled ALL night, metal beading between carpets potruding making It dangerous to walk on.wall poorly repaired and hidden wirh paint, sky tv??.... no just a FEW free to air channels... Curtains frayed! Bathroom with water damaged shelves. Looked more 2 star overall...

Breakfast was nice, with a decent selection. Location was also handy, being in the centre of birmingham. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

The hotel itself seemed tired. The aircon wasnt working, the replacemnet fans wouldnt stand up on their own. Th tiles in the bathroom were cracked. The front doors were not working
