Spencer Court

Stayed at this Guest House for 3 nights over the weekend. Nice and clean, appears to be the cheapest and was picked as we were on a limited budget. The Guest House can do with some touch up but was cheap and cheerful. Very satisfactory in the end. Ramsgate is a great place to be, trending town centre with a lovely harbour. If there is an award for good full English breakfast prepared to order, this Guest House should win the award in the area! Staff very helpful

Very tired and rundown hotel. Needs money spending on to bring it to the standard of similarly priced hotels.

My sister and friend stayed here the weekend of 18th July. Upon arrival she said the hotel wasn't great , it needed updating but seemed clean and tidy. Until she got stuck in the bathroom and her friend had to kick the door to open it. Lucky he was there. From 2am on the Saturday morning they had water pouring in through the roof , her clothes were saturated and her friend was sensible enough to turn the electric plug of with the wooden coat hanger, especially as the smoke detector in the downstairs entrance had a plastic bag covering it? My sister was moved for her 2nd night , and given 60% discount for her 1st night . What the owner did was give her £50 of her £225 bill back in cash .he refused to give her an itemised bill because he was unable to . I rang him and said the right thing to do would be to give her a refund for the Friday night. He said there wasn't an issue the whole time they used the room , he wanted to know what my problem was as he had sorted the issue out with my sister who is a nice lady. I pointed out he took advantage of a nice lady who didn't want to make a fuss. The saving grace seems to be the man who does the breakfasts. The owner doesn't have a clue how to treat people. Absolute disgrace

The bedroom was very small & cramped The bathroom even more so The whole place is dilapidated & dated

Lovely setting, you become part of history as the building and the square has so much history. Breakfast was freshly cooked and you had many choices if you did not fancy a full English. Ramsgate is a piece of France in the UK with a lovely harbour and fine restaurants to be found. Ramsgate has a lot history and lovely buildings that date back many hundreds of years. Great bus service to plan days in neighbouring villages and towns.

Very good value and the breakfast is a bargain. Visiting in a heatwave, it perhaps wasn't ideal to be in one of the south facing bay window rooms with a sea view as it got quite hot, but any other time of year would be fine. The shower was a little on the small side but worked fine.

Top position, close to the house where Van Gogh lived in Ramsgate and to the seafront. The owner has been extremely kind and available. The room and the bathroom were pristine clean. I will definitely choose Spencer Court next time I'll be in Ramsgate!
