Patong Hemingway's Hotel

The pool was nice but there were no umbrellas or shade available on the roof - this is not good in the heat and direct sun. Breakfast was ok but as it's not included you could go elsewhere for cheaper. Room was clean and nice.

Very friendly staff, close to Bangla Rd, boxing stadium and Jungceylon shopping centre.

I was visiting a friend who is currently working in Phuket and stayed at the hotel for 4 days. The hotel is in an excellent location; a short walk from the beach and near to all nightlife, restaurants, shopping etc.The rooms are small but very clean and modern with tea / coffee facilities and free bottled water daily. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, however there is a balcony with no room to sit and no chair to sit on anyway! Some rooms have the same style of balcony but with the hotel adjacent being about 2 meters away, so your view is basically of a brick wall. It isn't so bad if, like me, you only used the room for sleeping in. On my last full day I came back to my room after a day at the beach to find the floor of my room completely wrecked! I was told there was some problem due to "pressure" and I'd have to move rooms. I did move rooms, an inconvenience as it was my last full day, and found the safe in my new room had to be reset and then the door to the room would not lock. This meant that, for part of my last evening I had to remain in my room until these issues were sorted out. The staff were exceptional; friendly, helpful and sorted out any issues as quickly as they could. There are obvious issues with the quality of the hotel itself and due to this I probably wouldn't stay there again. This is a great shame as it is a decent hotel with excellent staff and a rooftop pool which gets the sun all day. Oh, and the food served is also good!

Overall good value hotel for a budget price, definitely get your moneys worth; the onsite restaurant is good at least for Thai food (that's all I tried there) There is construction going on across the street so if your a very light sleeper this may not be the place for you, it didn't bother me during my 5 days there.

Great location good facilities water pressure great fast internet friendly staff ,would stay here again , if one problem cleaning staff very noisy in the mornings

We had a great stay if you book this hotel ask for a room at the back you may not have a view but you will not be disturbed by the building going on out the from of the hotel we asked to move & they were very obliging

Close to the action, bad smells, noise, and more noise, big bed as hard as the floor, if you like to sleep go elsewhere. The people are all nice.

My only complaint about this hotel is the tiny pool which also needed clorination while I was there and the noise from the building site across the road. Otherwise a very comfortable hotel stay.

Central location and nice rooftop pool. Hotel condition and service generally ok as you'd expect in Patong, but with a range of problems. No view but you wouldn't expect it in that location. However you can see and hear the major construction site directly opposite (a large hotel in its early stages). Rooms on the side get no sunlight. Killed over 10 mosquitoes in the room on the first night, though there were less on following nights. Large bed is two single beds joined together but the way it's done is not too bad. The wet floor bathroom is a problem - shower water didn't drain quickly enough and would cover up to half of the bathroom. The hotel requires 1000 baht deposit at check-in but wouldn't take a credit card authorisation like a normal hotel - cash only, which was annoying. One night the reception desk was unattended for over 20 minutes, which meant room keys, guest information and cash were potentially not secure. I probably wouldn't go back to this hotel due to these problems.
