Comfortable room ,very clean,attention to detail was very good .lovely bed linen Excellent shower facilities

Having to walk around the block to access the front entrance after parking at the rear of the property,could be difficult for disabled patrons .

We booked to have a switch off from busy life and to go paddle boarding location was perfect. Inflated the boards in garden and the sea was a very sort walk from the house. View from garden is beautiful. Sitting early morning or late at night. Kathy is lovely and advised of places for food etc.

Only thing I would change is to book earlier so we could have sea view room

The location of the property is excellent, from the front garden you can see the whole of the bay and listen to the waves hitting the shore. Large bedroom with a four poster bed, cleaned every day and hospitality tray replenished daily. The host Kathy, is lovely and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this property.

The room has an excellent view of the Sea and surrounding landscape. The room was very clean although I felt that the 4 poster bed dominated the room a bit. There is no breakfast available but a cafe down the road is recommended although the downside is it doesn't open till 9am. The staff/owner Kathy is very friendly and most helpful.

I think it should be noted that there are 2 entrances and both have steps up to the entrances. One is easier to get up than the other and if you are coming from the sea view entrance there are a lot of steps to get up, (32 in all) and they are different gradients, some easy, some harder.

Location right on the beach front. Kathy was really nice and talked us few things like Keys, how shower and Tv works, also when to go for breakfast. Towels and drinks tray replenished during visit.

I felt very much at home at Captain's Lodge. Kathy was extremely friendly and helped me with questions I had about the area. The bed was larger than I expected for a single room (small double), comfortable, and everything was immaculate. The view from my window was gorgeous - overlooking the sea. It was so lovely to smell the fabric softener on my bedding and towels. A bathrobe was hanging on the back of the bedroom door for my use - a nice touch! My private bathroom was luxurious, with a rainfall shower head in the shower cubicle. Very convenient position in town. I was able to walk to everything along the sea front. Thank you for a very relaxing stay!

I loved the room I had, the view from my window was exceptional, overlooking Newbiggin Bay (I saw a pod of dolphins on the second evening, just before it got dark). The owner was really helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and excellent value for money. Cathy, the owner, gave me helpful tips on local eating places. There was a parking space. I shall definitely book again on my next trip.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like.

Excellent location close to all amenities. Easy access to Costal road. Perfect view from room overlooking the bay. Room compact + facilities very clean. Cathy very friendly + helpful. My 2nd stay + will return.
