The Manor at Puerto Galera

Very nice place for the price. Nice view of the ocean. A little bit of a challenge to get to since the tricycle drivers want to charge extra since it is uphill. Just hate dealing with that hassle. Place would be smart to invest in their own trike. Friendly staff and quiet location. Nice pools. Good place to be alone with friends and yourself. Only negative is the power goes out on a fairly regular basis and that means air con too...but hey, you are on vacation so chill. * special compliment to trainee named Clarinette. Pleasant, hardworking and quick with service.

manager was hard to please and rude to talk to,overnight power outage..freaking hot

underneath the façade, the kitchens are dirty, the refrigerators mix raw, cooked and dairy food uncovered. The drains do not drain well. the electrics are exposed in the bathroom and the toilet is so close to the wall that your knees touch the wall whilst using it. the towel rail fell off the wall. On the positive side the view is good, and the bedroom spacious. But the door won't lock properly and the lighting is poor. they charge a piddling amount for a towel to use at the pool.

Beautiful location with views of the jungle and water from both sides. Spectacularly designed hotel full of interesting Mackintosh style details and interesting art collection. Gardens beautifully maintained surrounded by jungle.... Fantastic views, sunsets, etc. About a 20 minute walk to town. Restaurant very good, but doesn't always have everything on the menu.... Great massage services and very friendly staff in general ..... If you like peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay. Highly recommend.... Hope to return in the near future.....

unbelievably beautiful view , surrounded by mountains and oceans. great beautiful gardening and design. the best B and B every stayed. love the airy feeling. staff needs to have accurate info...often couldn't answer your inquiry or don't understand, or wrong info, it could be little too windy at night, reminds me of the novel of Emily Bronte. statues on the 2nd and 3rd floor a little scary to the kids. it's one amazing hotel, but out of the hotel, it's a different world, best to come on a yacht! because Yacht Club is steps away...

Nice setting and excellent rooms with a lovely view. One thing that is NOT up to standard and looks terrible comparing to the class of the rest of the hotel is the restaurant area with the plastc chairs etc. also no orders for dinner after 9. They must do something to upgrade the restaurant area. Overall very nice stay there!!! Fantastic art collection.

Amazing hotel. It is really an Art Gallery. It was such a pleasure to be sorrounded by all beautiful art pieces. Staff are amazing and so helpful. The view is to die for.

Had a great stay at The Manor. The grounds and sky pool was beautiful, and food at the restaurant the best meals we had on the island. The rooms could do with some upkeep so I would say the hotel overall is not exactly 4.5 stars, I would maybe say 3.5, but was a very enjoyable holiday.

The Staff were so helpful and did anything for me. They upgraded me to a superior suite and I was able to request Breakfast of my choice. It is only a 10 minute Bike ride to White Beach and it had great views. Definitely going back

The reviews are 100% correct about The Manor. This is by far the best place to stay at Puerto Galera and I had a great experience here one of my best in Philippines. Just call reception upon arrival and they will pick you up in 5 mins. I did have problems coming over to the island as I missed the last boat as was approached by shonky boat owners and this in turn made me miss a night at this hotel. The manager I think Miss M was very welcoming and offered a friend a free breakfast who was not staying at the hotel as she felt bad that we missed a night at the hotel and also upgraded me to a fantastic room with a view. The whole property is great..beautiful gardens and settings, close to town, nice breafast and a super swimming pool. If you can afford the extra spoil yourself and stay here. I can't wait to visit again
