Celeste Mountain Lodge

The property is a beautiful setting between two Volcanoes. The restaurant has a superior view of the gardens and jungle. This is a great location to view beautiful birds as well. The owner is very personable and offered suggestions on various activities around the town. The rooms are clean and simple, no tvs, fans or AC, but the nights are quite cool up there, so it was not needed..in fact we used the extra blankets provided. The showers have great hot water too. If there was one thing I could say...the restaurant..for $25 per person for dinner and then not even getting to select my meal..i dont think this is a good idea. No menu..and with certain food allergies, i feel it is important to offer guests a choice or menu. For Costa Rican prices, this was a bit expensive. We chose to go into town and eat at a local restaurant where we got a big plate of food for only $8.00. The included breakfast the next morning was not very healthy either..pancakes and a pastry...a bunch of carbs..maybe add a few eggs or some type of protein..

The lodge is a truly unique design for minimal impact on the environment yet a feeling of luxury. Meals were delicious and inventive. Staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

We were on the full-board option and grealy enjoyed the food. The staff is friendly and very hospitable. The room is very comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. Highly recommended if you are planning to visit Rio Celeste as the lodge is a few kilometers away.

Loved the attention of the staff, only had breakfast, but food was very good. Close to the attractions.

Stayed here for 3 nights with our 6 and 9 year old kids and really loved the whole experience. Joel seemed like he was there day and night ready to help us with anything and everything. The Lodge will help you arrange activities and give advice and the prices are inexpensive for the activities. Joel and staff really take pride in everything they do, including the food and the service. The breakfasts were good and one dinner was great and the other two were good. Overall, it was a great experience and a really fun place to stay for a few days. Oh and the property has beautiful gardens and a real cool jungle hike on property where you can see lots of animals.

If you want a quiet and relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful views of volcan Tenorio and amazing encounter with the local wildlife, stay at Celeste Mountain Lodge. The rooms are basics but comfortable, the food is amazing and the staff very nice and helpful. It's located just a few miles from the Rio Celeste hike, which is an almost magical experience.

This is so worth visiting. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Where the Lodge excel is in the food, the public areas, gardens etc. It is more like staying in a club.

Beautifully appointed, in a quiet setting, the owners are very friendly and attending. Nice gardens. Close to temerindo volcano National Park. Good for quiet quality time
