Hotel Villa Vinum Cochem

The owner of the hotel is extremely friendly and nice! He ensured we found our room, got settled and were able to enjoy a small wine fest that was occurring in the area. Everything about this hotel is perfect. We plan on making another trip to the Cochem/Mosel area and a stay at this hotel will be at the top of our list.

I stayed here for three nights in December whilst at a Conference and had a very pleasant experience. Theo, the owner, picked me up from Frankfurt airport (FRA) which made everything run very smoothly. The room was very spacious and well heated, and featured a balcony overlooking the picturesque town of Cochem. Excellent buffet breakfast. The hotel was kept well stocked with an excellent selection of beer and spirits, which was much appreciated!

Beautiful room with outstanding views. The manager went out of his way for us when we thought our IPAD had been stolen at a local restaurant. Outstanding breakfast. Very helpful staff. Huge room.

This is an interesting bed and breakfast right on the Mosel river in Cochem. It's very artsy, which unfortutunaly means that a number of things don't make sense and aren't very practical... + The staff was nice. - Our room was filled with see-through doors, including one into the toilet... - The toilet area is the size of a shoe box. Good luck not hitting your face on the closed door handle when you stand up off the toilet. - Automatic lights in the room stay on for 10 minutes after use. No way to turn them off. - Extremely slow wifi - No fridge, no safe, no A/C - Extremely unsanitary breakfast. Everything is laid out in the open. We saw someone sneeze right onto the food. We also saw a server sweep all of the leftovers from a table onto the table mats, then put the table mats back with a new set of silverware. No sanitary cleaning taking place whatsoever.

Mid village setting, great views, opposite a lovely river, overall great stay, and the hotel staff and owner were really friendly and welcoming, would definitely go back again.

Quaint hotel with a personal touch. Just remember in older German buildings elevators are not available.

This is a charming hotel and we had a wonderful third floor view. The only challenge you might encounter, besides no lift, is the church across the square that rings the bells every quarter hour 24 hours per day. If you stay long enough it is probably white noise, but we were aware of it. During the day there is a long pretty bell lyric on the hour, but during sleeping hours it is simply the quarter hour gong.

A quaint and beautiful town. Wonderful home base to explore all Cochem offers.

We showed up for a lightly planned Christmas get away and had a wonderful time at the hotel. The proprietor is an excellent host and assisted us in determining what was and wasn't open in the area over Christmas. There was certainly enough open to keep us busy throughout our stay. The rooms are well kept and the decorations for the holiday were classy. We would definitely stay again when we are back in the area.
