Hotel was just okay, but cant say 4 star, or may be I dont know Indian standards Wifi is give to one person per room, even though we were 3 in one room, this made us little uneasy. No extra cot as it was broken and kept outside our room! Staff were courteous.

I was delighted when my cab drove up to the hotel and even more so when I got to my room. The reception and room were very airy, modern, clean. Lots of white marble looking floors, white leather furniture - in a place like Kolkata a white clean space is such welcome change. I had booked a "Royal" room, not the standard one, and it was on the 5th floor. The bell boy told me the 5th floor was brand new. There are a few minor funky things, for ex, the elevator only reaches the 4ths floor and you have to walk up a flight of stairs to the 5th floor.The room keys are the old fashioned real keys with a fat leather strap. You need to leave yours at the reception when you leave during the day else the room will not get cleaned. The hotel is within easy walking distance from New Market as well as Park Street, right in the hustle and bustle of Kolkata.

It was overall okay as we were upgraded to executive room, however the free WiFi only worked on our mobile phones and NOT on the laptop, also had to sign up with WIFI again after 24hours with new numbers and password. Got CNN and BBC on the TV after several tries by service staff. Towels in the bathroom were not very good quality compared to other 3 or 4 star hotels we have stayed at before. But close proximity to New Market and Park Street was a plus point. So overall it was okay for short stay and I give 3.5 out of 5 for rating.

Certainly not a 4 star hotel but otherwise very good. Only negative comment is the bedding and towels were well worn and soiled. Like many hotels in Kolkata it is not in a nice area and no fast food eating places except for a McDonald 3 blocks away near Park Hotel. They only have fish, chicken and vegetarian sandwiches. Taxi drivers seem to have a hard time finding the hotel. Best if you have a map to show them. It is rather far from the airport. There were barking dogs outside the hotel that barked frequently during the night making sleeping more difficult.

Pleasant stay. Hotel staff very friendly and hospitable.

Great value hotel - outrageously comfortable bed in an extremely clean room, good bathroom (hot water typically lasted about 6-8 minutes, and refilled pretty quickly), excellent friendly staff, and the breakfast buffet had a huge amount of choice.

Staff were cooperative. Hotel is good inside although the neighborhood is congested.Bed sheet towel etc.old but clean.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Although the dining space was very small, breakfast was excellent and the catering staff were very polite.

Stayed 4 nights. Had a very comfortable bright, quiet room with hot shower. Hotel marble throughout and breakfast excellent being varied daily and served by guys with hair nets. Possibly best breakfast in India so far.
