"Good"

Nice hotel, food, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel Needs proper maintaining. Changing bed linen, and towels completely. The reception sofa is completely worn out.

"Lovely little hotel"

Great location. Great room with a little balcony. We'd been in India for 3 weeks already, so we were used to the street noise, which I'm sure would annoy some people. The staff were lovely and friendly.

The staff helped secure our lost luggage in the middle of the morn8ng The hotel taxi driver was good taking us around kolkata Only thing they should be timely If they say 1030 than it is 1030

"The Kempton - my Kolkata Home"

I was upgraded to a huge deluxe room on arrival. This certainly made my stay more enjoyable. The food on offer in the restaurant and via room service is absolutely delicious, a great alternative to looking for an outside restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff add even more to the allure of the Kempton.

bath rooms requires uplifting, Fresh painting is a must. Used towels should not be supplied. Food delivery in the restaurant should be faster Wifi service poor . requires password everyday despite the prior notification on stay schedule.

"Nice staff , but highly overrated "

Nice size room with two large windows, great view of two garbage dumps, Indians sleeping here and there. had sore back .......no springs in mattress , had to keep finger on overhead shower button, water pressure , barely any and when hot water came on......three minutes worth. Breakfast acceptable. Area around hotel, including Sudder St. nothing to speak of. tons of garbage, sleeping dogs , people on the move. Went there to see Mother Tereasa's tomb, South Park cemetery . Only bright spots of trip. Sunderbans........take a pass..... Go to Africa. Either love/hate this place.........I'll never return.st
