Hotel Kempton

Had a great three night stay. Upon check in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff with a nice cup of juice, which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. We were given a complimentary room upgrade too! The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast gave a large variety of foods, and it all tasted great. All members of the staff were very helpful and courteous. The next time traveling to Kolkata, I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Hotel Kempton.

Hotel Kempton is conveniently locate within a couple of blocks of the India Museum, Park street and numerous restaurants. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. On check-in, when I questioned whether the room I was given was what I paid for the gave me another room that met my expectations though in retrospect I'm not sure I didn't get more than I had paid for. The only problem was a bit of dust in the room and some noise during the day as the were working on the floor above me.

helpful staff. All you need is cheerfully provided. Central location is really fantastic for all tourism purposes. The attached restaurant has lovely food. Breakfast buffet is very good

It all began very badly: the manager wanted to put us in a twin room (although our reserve explicity covered a double bed). The hotel is in terrible condition, its noisy and looks a lot like a cheap motel. It was the worst dollars I spent in India (and I stayed in guesthouses and simple accomodation throughout the country). Mainly, Kempton mislead you to think it is a star hotel - and it definitely isn't.

Approach ti the hotel is very narrow. Ambiance around hotel is low grade. Bed sheets, towels etc.. were not washed properly. Overall experience is very bad

No hot water comes from the showers, surprising in a hotel like this with such charges.

I booked a double room for 3 nights, but on my arrival there I found this to be hotel which is not worth even a 1 star rating. Dirty room, very noisy neighborhood and the corridors. Guest quality too bad.Furniture terrible, torn covers. Bathroom stinks. What else can I say. ?? I cancelled my stay after one night and lost money which Hotels.com never refunded.!!!

we had a pleasant stay ! only drawback is the surrounding neighbourhood which is not at all clean and fully crowded ! The restaurant was very good. the location is perfect .
