Dorsett Wuhan

Location is great. Lots of places to eat and shop just a step out of the hotel.

I had a very good experience staying at The Dorsett Hotel. The bed was comfortable with different kinds of pillow softness/firmness, a nice comfortable chair to sit on, internet worked well, the shower was excellent with wide nozzle, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had good variety and the food was tasty, and there were many stores, shopping, and restaurants (including a Starbucks 2 blocks away!) right near the hotel...and the subway entrance was only a five minute walk from the hotel.

This is an older hotel in the heart of the shopping district and a quick bus ride from other attractions. Night market is great and restaurants nearby are excellent. The cons were the breakfast could be improved and the room window had an opening where the air could come inside. Also, National Geographic Channel was not offered on the television. Overall, would still recommend travelers to visit Dorsett Wuhan.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Dorsett in Wuhan. I felt comfortable, the staff spoke some English, was friendly and responsive to my questions/needs, the restaurant offered good, reasonably priced food, and it was close to plenty of restaurants and the subway.

Really solid hotel at a great price. Short block from a pedestrian mall with a lot of evening foot traffic, and lots of shopping. My only complaint was that the AC didn't function properly...even if the thermostat was adjusted, ACstill pretty much did its own thing, namely really cold in the evening and turned off middle of the night (fan still ran) so that the morning was a little on the warm side. Other than that, very nice, and great breakfast buffet. Note that taxis sometimes have a hard time finding the place.

Absolutely wonderful. I was sad to leave this hotel! The location is amazing: close to many restaurants, shops and metro station. The room was extremely spacious. The washroom was very nice, big and clean. Nice glass shower with small bathtub. The breakfast was included. Very nice buffet with some fruit and fresh foods. I want to go back to China to stay there again! The price was very reasonable for what we got. Highly recommend.

The hotel was clean and located in a great spot. It was listed as a 4 star hotel with and indoor pool. There was no pool!!! I had planned to use the pool on rain days. The l,obby was on the 11 floor and the staff spoke very very little english. No bell men to get cabs. The rooms were large and the breakfest was very nice. The hotlkeis a good value but just not 4 star.

It took me >30 minutes to check in. I was entertain by Ms Cathy then a chinese customer approach. My papers were handed over to another staff and she entertain the other customer. The staff who handle my papers doesnt know what to do. So we all have to wait for Ms cathay to finish her business with the other customer who suppossed to be next to me. Upon check in they asked for deposit 1000rmb as i need to pay my room upon check out. Explained to them that the room was booked via hotel.com and it was already fully paid. They insist that it is not paid. Make a call to hotel.com to clarify everything. Hotel.com assured me that i have nothing to pay upon check out unless i have consume in the mini bar. It is a waste of time and few dollar to make international calls because of incompetent front desk staff

If u like shopping ,this hotel is good for you you can shopping all day and night. Near hotel have small market that you can try local food and snack. Eat shop and stay in Dorsett hotel is a good choice.

The location of the hotel is fabulous, near to the Jianghan Road, where many historical buildings dating back to the ROC period are located.
