Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa

We enjoyed our brief stay and will be back for sure. Very close to beach and had fantastic views.

Inchydoney hotel and spa in the ideal location to get away from it all. The staff are very helpful and you feel that they give you the space to enjoy the your stay there with every comfort but without being in your zone. I always come away feeling so refreshed and renewed. I love the sea water pool also. The food is so tasty and wholesome and great value for the quality.

Excellent spa. Super friendly and caring staff. Really seemed a happy place to stay, work and be. The views are amazing. Food is good. Just in our room there was a dripping /thudding noise every few minutes. Disrupted sleep sometimes but was deal able! I actually didn't want to say it on check out because the staff were just so nice!

The room we got was completely different from what was advertised on the pictures,two single beds pushed together and never changed the sheets on the bed or nothing,very disappointed compared to other hotels I've stayed in for half the price

The breakfast was excellent but other restaurant meals were just passable.

Layout of public and circulation seems not well thought through , not making best use of the location & the experience of it therefore lacks clarity and the sense of grandeur possible for a great location. The beaches are astounding, indoor sea water pool and the spa staff were great. we were delighted with our massage treatments. Afternoon tea in the lounge was lovely and good value. We had a main with excellent wine but I can say my dish at 33 Euro was overpriced. Room service was very disappointing. The worst chips I have ever been served in a hotel. pale and undercooked for 6.5 euro. Staff helpful at every turn but when arriving I was asked to pay despite having paid through hotels.com. Was nearly convinced to pay again and reception took 10 minutes to confirm it was Expedia's account they were to charge & not mine! Unfamiliar with Expedia bookings!? They did recover well by offering us our first drinks on the house. Room was great but the hotel is overdue a refurbishment. repaint, tiles a re-grout, parts of the sauna were rotted etc. All perhaps unchanged since opening day. We had a sense of being back twenty years. the music was exclusively mid 90s. same four or five van Morrison albums, Mary Black, Hothouse Flowers, a little surreal. Brand Ireland 1995. All the above are observations and nothing would stop me returning. We most probably will and strongly recommend the place quirks and all. Perhaps best as a base but do get a treatment in the spa!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. To be honest I could not fault it. I would really love to visit this hotel again only this time I would like to stay longer.

was ok have stayed in other 4 star hotels (the lake hotel,killarney)and paid less for much better overall experience,private balconey was like sitting in a fish bowl,also got breakfast in bed the first morning when it arrived it was luke warm at best and the Clonakilty pudding were the worst by far,so we went to dinning room for breakfast the next morning and we did not expect to find a buffet we expected a freshly cooked breakfast
