"Couple relaxing trip"

8.0

Fabulous stay. Relaxing few days which is what we wanted as I'm pregnant. Beautiful location. Only thing would of been nice would have some music in the bar during the week especially summer season. Music is only Friday and Saturday. The food was lovely in the bistro but everything contained fish and everything made with eggs which is difficult when your pregnant. The staff are amazing at this hotel. So friendly, polite ad helpful. The spa is beautiful too.

"Family Friendly"

8.0

Pleasant surroundings. At times a little too much baby/toddler noise for a truly relaxing break. Would like to suggest designated family meal times for families with very small children. It is hard to create a romantic ambience to the backdrop of a crying baby - especially when paying for a fine dining experience.

"Weekend Bliss"

10.0

Had a lovely weekend at this hotel recently. Great food in the bar & the overall service was excellent. Had a mums to be massage treatment in the spa which was fantastic. The lady's name was Jo and she is excellent!! There is attention to detail in all aspects of this hotel. Will definitely be returning.

"Stunning"

10.0

Start with very friendly service and a drink in the spacious and welcoming lobby. Get upgraded to a one-bedroom suite on the top floor, with a four-poster bed, loads of space, nice bathroom, high-quality amenities, huge TV, balcony, and even a most luxurious carpet. Then cross the bedroom and enter the lounge: Beautifully presented, comfortable sofas, coffee maker, another TV, and stunning views over the beach through floor-to-ceiling windows across two walls. Tear yourself away from the view and enjoy a workout in a gym that is quite well equipped by hotel standards, then a great massage at the magnificent spa. Later tuck into some delicious tapas and local beer in the gastro-pub until you can't resist the urge to get back to that incredible suite. Savour a delicious and very generous meal from the room-service menu. Fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing against the shore just outside, and wake to a stunning sunrise over the sea, that you enjoy while tucking into a superb full-Irish breakfast. The service was exceptional throughout my stay. The view from the suite, the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food, the excellent spa facilities, and the glorious view make staying here unforgettable.

"Beautiful location"

8.0

The hotel was lovely, beautiful location, very relaxing vibe. A bit more signage out of Clonakilty would help, we had a bit of trouble finding the road out to the Island. Our room was comfortable, we had a balcony but we were at the side of the hotel so the view was restricted. There was an on and off knocking sound throughout the night in either the ceiling of our room or coming from the room above us (which I think was unoccupied) which made it difficult to relax and to sleep, I woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep because of the noise. I should have asked to change rooms earlier in the evening before we went for dinner when I first heard it but I presumed it would stop at bedtime. My partner is a very sound sleeper and he even woke and commented on the sound effects!

"Fantastic hotel beside beach"

10.0

Fantastic time at this hotel,it's the little touches like a drink when you come in,chocolates when you arrive and at nighttime in your room.Complimentary book of wonderful photos of west cork.A pot of jam when leaving.Great room with a view and the pool with real sea water is a great idea. All in all couldn't fault except for maybe the bar they have which lacks a bit of coziness and comfort.
