Royal Mile Accommodation

Royal Mile Accomodation (ok, the name is a bit dreary) is very well located for the most major Edinburgh sites, most of which are within an easy walk (less than 20 minutes). All aspects of the operation are self-serve (including check-in and out) but quite easy to figure out (and the staff is readily available via text or email if there is a problem). Our apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well outfitted including cooktop, oven, fridge, dishwasher, clothes washer, small appliances (though my North American tastes would have appreciated a coffee-maker of some kind), and utensils. Ideally there would be a small grocer nearer by than Nicholson Street, but that's a small quibble. One could stay here quite comfortably for weeks or months at a time.

The stay was nice & the room facilities were what I needed. The room is spacious & comfortable. When I found there were some heating problem & called their office. They attended the issue within an hour. So the overall stay is satisfactory!

We came early and the staff was very good about it. We also did late check out and they were good about it too. We got the beds messed up and it as fixed right away . The staff was very nice. A great place to stay with a family

There were a number of problems the oven didn't work, the fire alarm was constanly beeping the extract hood didn't work shaving sockets didn't work numerous thermostatic valves were missing or broken and heat was either on or off you couldn't regulate it. Wifi was inoperative as was TV rooms were too cramped as too many single beds were placed in room we couldn't open cupboard as beds hindered access . Contacted agent but have not heard back from them , isn't that a surprise!!!!!!

Information required to access the property was sent in advance and without request. Access was easy. Location fantastic and the city is beautiful. The flat is large, modern, clean and comfortable. Everything we required was available and everything that you would expect to receive in a hotel was provided. 2 adults and two kids, aged 7 and 4, loved it and will say here again next time we visit Edinburgh.

The accommodation was as good as the Images so we were very happy. There were a few minor cosmetic improvements in the kitchen (cupboards) which Need to be done. Also the window in one bedroom was broken and curtains were too light so they may need to Change them as this affects ones sleep. The accommodation is very spacious all round so I would stay here again. The cleanliness was excellent and there was even extra bedding if needed. Plenty of storage space in the kicthen. I was sent incorrect Information on the booking confirmation but this was quickly resolved by the accommodation suppliers so i was happy with that. Lastly the key collection (out of hours) is not well lit so I advise to ask for clarification in advance just in case you think you may not be able to find the key address.

Please ignore any negative feedback this accommodation has received because as a world traveling family this was a very good apartment which was set over 3 levels, bedroom with en-suite on ground floor,1st floor kitchen dinner, lounge and bathroom, then 3rd floor 2 bedrooms, 1 with en-suite and a further family bathroom. Very clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Great location 1 minute walk away from the Royal Mile and a 8 min walk to the castle/old town etc. Excellent customer service, nothing was too much trouble for the housekeeping staff from leaving our luggage on arrival/departure to bringing extra hairdryers. Will definitely be staying here again. Only thing which would need looking at is the noisey floorboards/carpet on stairs could do with replacing as a bit tired looking and blinds on the front door are broken so the property looks a bit unappealing.

Great location, two minutes walk to royal miles and 10 minutes to castle. Lots of space, clean apartment. Will definitely go back, great value.

Excellent all around except for access. Getting a door code by phone is a huge impediment for foreign travellers without international cell phone plan. NO RETURN emails regarding issue.
