Waking up to a beautiful private beach view was amazing! The food was the best I ever had for hotel food. The chef even came out to ask how we were doing. Be sure to ask for Jenny when you check in. She will book any tour you request and spa needs. She is wonderful and always there to make sure we were ok. the stairs to go to the beach and restaurant we’re a bit of a workout but so worth it once you’re there! We would definitely recommend and stay again! And thank you Jenny for making our stay amazing! - Ramón y Christina

We unfortunately had to leave in the middle of our first night after finding two rats and multilple roaches in our room. There is no one at reception after a certain hour so no one was there to help us. We demanded a refund when I spoke with them the next day and they said they would give us a different room (no one we spoke denied what had happened - sounded like they had this problem before). Expedia - since they will not reverse my charges - can you please give me full credit. Thank you!

We are very upset with our stay at Aqua. We spoke with reservations for two weeks prior to our arrival and booked and paid for some excursions through them and planned our schedule accordingly. When we arrived to the hotel they informed us that we would have to reschedule one of our hikes and that they would not be able to do the volcano because it was closed, even though we had confirmed the day before. We called another tour company and they told us that the volcano was still open for the night tour and we were able to make it through them. We have emailed reservations multiple times to request a refund and have not recieved a response yet. We spoke to the front desk multiple times also and got a different response every time. It has been 7 days and my bank has yet to recieve this refund! Because of the lack of reliabilty from Aqua we wasted two days of our planned vacation. When we went to settle down at night we noticed our room was full of roaches and ants! The roaches were everywhere! It was past 10pm and the front desk was closed so we had to sleep with the lights on! They did changed our room the next day but a few days later came to try and move us back to the room filled with roaches! The staff was rude and the food was lacking quality and was very expensive! Overall Aqua was a very stressful and upsetting vacation!

We booked, paid for and received a confirmation for these accommodations from Expedia just before boarding our flight to Nicaragua. Aqua Wellness Resort contacted us later to say that they could not accommodate us after all unless we paid for a more expensive room. This was an absolute nightmare to deal with while traveling in remote areas of a third world country with limited internet access, etc. Despite a string of correspondence through Expedia's web portal confirming cancelation by the resort and us, Expedia made us wait for days for a refund. I will never book this resort again and I will never book accommodations abroad through Expedia again!

It is a very beautiful peace of land. However, it is missing a couple of things in order to make it great. There is no main pool where anyone can go to. Although it has a private beach, it is hard to go into the sea during the day because it is really rocky. A pool would be great to relax during the day when it is very hot. It could be a good place for interacting with other guests.
