Guilinyi Royal Palace

Bathroom door isn't easy to close fully. So water can leak. Airport pickups is a rip off. They only pick up, and there will be a charge for drop off although I stayed for 2 days.

We had a fantastic stay at the Guiliyni Royal Palace and would recommend it to everyone. Great setting and accommodation, with fantastically helpful staff and good restaurant.

Very secluded location in the middle of Guilin, in the middle of a lovely park. Very good restaurant for local Chinese food. The rate included a traditional tea tasting in the tea room, and breakfast. The Koi fish are amazing, very colorful and so many of them. Fish food is provided by the restaurant. Free shuttle to and from the Guilin high speed railway station is provided by the hotel. I would stay here again if I return to Guilin.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Guilin Botanical Gardens and park area. To get to the hotel you take a shuttle service from the park main gate. From the main gate there is a shopping mall within 5 mins walking that has everything you could want. The hotel staff are friendly but do not speak much English for tourists. The rooms are quite impressive (and extremely comfortable), as are the gardens surrounding the hotel's many buildings. The Koi fish ponds at the hotel were also beautiful. Breakfast service is a mix of western and eastern. No complaints about our room or our stay at all. Good quality for the price. Highly recommended.

It was a surprise when we arrived the gate of the Botanic garden to see the crowd there at 7:30 pm, the local family was floating in the park for their evening walk. Once we reached the hotel it was a complete difference , we love the peaceful of the hotel garden, the room is big and clean. We stayed 2 nights there and mostly out for touring Guilin town, we will come back to spend more time in the hotel on our next trip to Guilin.

We arrived at night: Imagine moon reflecting pagoda shaped roofs in water to the sound of fish jumping and beautiful music played in the tea room, as you stroll to your room. David was a most helpful driver who picked us up and explained all that one can enjoy in Guilin. You can arrange river tours, terrace tours conveniently at the desk of the hotel. (We also enjoyed visiting a tea plantation and tea ceremony). The breakfast buffet is plentiful and meets both western and Asian palates. The coffee is delicious! We particularly enjoyed strolling in the botanical gardens in which the hotel is located, watching how everyone enjoys the park like spaces for exercising, music. The Personnel are delightful and eager to ensure a pleasant stay

We booked this hotel at the last minute, when we realized we had to be at the Guilin airport early in the morning, and were staying too far away in Yangshuo. We stayed just one night (the night before our flight), and were not expecting anything special. What a surprise! An aesthetically beautiful hotel with every possible amenity, superior service, exquisite and sensible furnishings, an exquisite bathroom, comfortable beds -- this hotel has it all. Ensconced in a garden setting, there is evening musical entertainment, shopping, guestrooms with balconies. We loved it.

Lovely hotel in peaceful garden setting. Staff extremely helpful. Room was really nice although could hear the odd train tooting occasionally in the night. A little out of town but staff were very helpful in getting us a taxi.

From check-in to check-out, the staff was very helpful and friendly AND had a good command of English - not always the case in China. We had not connected with the hotel regarding their free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, but a C Trip desk attendant at the airport contacted the hotel for us and there was a shuttle there within 5 minutes (for a 40 minute ride to the hotel). The hotel is in a botanical garden in the middle of the city. What a quiet retreat to relax in and yet close to a mall and local stands for a quick bite to eat off the grounds. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast buffet was a good variety of both western and Chinese fare. There was always a cart available to take us to the front gate or back to the hotel if we chose not to take the leisurely 5 minute walk either way. The staff was happy to book tours or taxis as needed and had good information regarding area sights.
