"top quality place and location ."

good comfy hotel just right for lake and great eating in Bowness on windermere etc.Spoilt for choice and quality.100% local produce where possible.My wifes first stay in the lake district she cant wait to return.Well done all the freindly hard working staff in Bowness made a good stay a marvellous one.

This is a great location. Bang in the middle of bowness and Windermere the thing I can complain about is breakfast Sunday should be later not 8 till 9 too early 9&10 then leave b&b@11am otherwise perfect

"Traditional British Inn in the Lake District"

This is an elegant and old-fashioned in with a large sitting room and a breakfast room. The breakfast was outstanding. The hosts are informative and very efficient. The rooms are tight and the toilets took a bit to flush. The area is absolutely perfect as a vacation excursion - shops, restaurants, sight-seeing. We just loved it!

"pleasant stay"

Our room was very comfortable and pleasant. Our host and hostess ensuring we had all that we needed. reakfasts were great. The location was very good being between the towns of Windermere and Bowness. The only problem we had was the times our internet connection dropped out.

"Great surprise in The lakes!"

Fantastic little B&B with friendly owners, a great breakfast and room, and in a good spot. Walking distance to 2 suburbs which was handy. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

"The terrible experience"

This is the worst hotel that we have ever stayed. We have a lot of terrible experience in this hotel. We made the reservation to have breakfast at 8 am, and the owner conformed. But the next day, when we just started our breakfast, we were told that we were separated to 2 groups. 2 people can continue the breakfast, and the others have to go back to room and wait for 1 hour.The owners of the hotel are also not friendly to children. If you are family trip, don't choose this one.

"great location in the center of everything."

Lake district is beautiful, we hiked to Beatrix Potters house, a lovely day. Took a cruise on the lake as well. People are helpful, charming and funny.
