"What a great find. "

10.0

I was very impressed with the quality of the decor and the furnishings and the decor. There was such a lot of attention to detail. Everything had been thought of. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and my room was even serviced with my bed remade and my pyjamas neatly folded. Better than most hotels.

Nice enough but room was very small and small shower room. Quite basic. Note that house does smell of cigarette smoke, although it was clean. Breakfast was fine but nothing special and not until 0830.

"Short break to the lakes"

8.0

Hotel good. We had en-suite room on top floor with a good view of the countryside. Covid measures were in place following government guidelines. Breakfast was ok. Rooms and other areas were very clean. Location was good. On the downside, the room and en-suite was very small

"Great cheap little stay!"

10.0

Excellent friendly service. Very clean room and dining area. COVID safe. Good breakfasts. Excellent location. Just away from town so it's not busy but close enough to walk down in 5 mins Room was ideal for what I needed. My only slight issues were bed could be a bit more comfortable and even with window closed there seemed to be a gap so was drafty when it was windy. Not enough to mark it down.

"A brillian B&B"

10.0

This was a last-minute stay, and we were delighted with Lindisfarne. The room was comfortable, we had a lovely welcome from Alison, excellent breakfasts, and Chris went well beyond what was expected in giving us a lift in the pouring rain to the bus satation. We higly recommened Lindisfarne, which is conveniently situated for the attractions of town and lake, and certainly hope to return. We were glad we didn't come by car, the only downside is parking!

The property was clean, facilities were good, landlady was like a school headmistress. The fresh fruit salad at breakfast was really nice, fresh fruit lots of variety. The cooked breakfast was the worst I have ever been served in a b&b. The sausage looked and tasted like it was past its use by date the mushrooms were cooked in something that made them inedible as was the bacon which my knife could not cut through, my fried egg and boiled tomato were the only things edible on my plate. If I had been on the programme "Four in a bed" I would not have paid the full amount for the stay.
