"Stop over hotel close to the airport "

A 'stop over' hotel close to the airport, didn't appear to be a safe to walk out of the gates. Small supermarket near by but nothing else. Sat in beautiful gardens with a pool. The staff are the strength to this hotel, polite helpful and excellent customer service. The hotel itself is very tired and could do with an over haul. I personally would rather get up a bit earlier and stay in the city

My husband had an accident & is using a walker. The staff made sure we were in an accessible room, plus they delivered our meals to the room because he could not use the stairs up to the restaurant. Food was basic, but good.

"Lovely Hotel"

Trapp Family Country Inn was a great place to kick off our vacation in Costa Rica. I only wish we had had more time in our itinerary to really enjoy the place longer. It is a short taxi ride from the airport, and the property is behind a gate. We had a late arrival, but a staff member was waiting for us, arranged our breakfast order for the next morning, and showed us to our room. The room was clean, the shower was warm, and the balcony was lovely. The next morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast on the patio while watching the birds and butterflies. We were easily able to Uber to our next location in Alajuela. I just wish we had had the time to enjoy the pool because it looked great!

A wonderful oasis tucked right outside SJO airport. The grounds are stunning and very well taken care of. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and beautiful. I highly recommend a stay at Trapp Family Inn! You can hear the planes leaving from the airport at times, so this may be a problem for some people.

"An oasis of calm"

What a beautiful hotel one mile from San Jose airport but quiet and specious with lovely grounds and a pool. Perfect for a last night before flying. Limited menu but well cooked. Friendly staff and wonderfully comfortable bed. Nice veranda area to sit and relax in
