Hotel Valle del Rio, SA

I really like this hotel. Located next to the river, one can fall sleep with the sound of water. We've been here 5 times already since the Pandemic and regard it as our prefered escape location. Unfortunately, we can say that the facilities seem to be getting worst every time we go. We've stated in the same room twice, delayed by about 3 months and the same issue with the faulty shower reported on the first trip was there this last time. Its a very simple fix to replace the shower head but apparently there is no interest to fix it from management. It's a shame.... very nice location though.

A gem of a hotel. Great staff, delicious restaurant, gorgeous peaceful views, and lovely rooms with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel staff was excellent! Restaurant food was very good, service very good. Front desk staff was exceptional. We were there during the Covid epidemic and all of the hotel staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable .

It was a good trip overall, the breakfast was better than I thought it would be and the employees were very helpful!

I visited this hotel last year and returned this year. Since last year property is not maintained well. Furniture is failing a part, restaurant walls and ceiling durty. In my room WiFi did not work. Paying $160 plus tax per night is way to high for Panama. Location is great but services a terrible. Staff was trying to help with wifi in the room but nothing happened. My wife is eligible for jubilado discount but front desk person said at check out that I was already charged for the room and nothing can be done. So the bottom line is be prepared for old broken furniture in you room with bad or no wifi, not that good restaurant food, but enjoy the river view.

The power went out several times during the night. This is only an issue, because each time it was restored there were loud beeping “alarms” that woke us up. Otherwise, nice facility, pleasant and helpful staff!

Great location, very nice facilities and great staff. Restaurant has a large selection with great food.

The hotel is located at a beautiful place and is really nice. However, some of the staff hardly understands English, and they don’t always follow through on requests. (I asked for the safe in the room to be opened for my use, and was promised twice someone will take care of this, but that never happened.) Also, the breakfast does not offer many choices. No yogurt, for example.
