Good food, comfortable bed and nice sized room Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The only very small issue was we had use of a Jacuzzi bath but the staff didn't tell us it needed switching on in a separate hard to see location. However, it didn't detract from an excellent stay

"Out of Date!!"

2.0

The room was not serviced for our three night stay. Only told on last night that it had to be requested. The owner was very rude but the rest of the staff were helpful. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet rolls each day on returning from work and for the heating to be put on.. Owner tried to double charge for breakfast which was already included in the price. He stated that breakfast was extra but when told it was on the website as free he said that should have been taken off the website. All the electrics PAT testing is out of date by 4 years. All fire extinguishers are out of service date by 3 years. Wonderful idyllic location but service dreadful. Won't be back very disappointed I do have photographic evidence of the out of date equipment and fire extinguishers. I have been advised by the HASE to forward them to Devon and Somerset FRS as it is a legal requirement to have them in date it could be a threat to life.

The room was very cold as the owner had forgotten to turn the heating on. He did apologise and turned it on but it took a while to warm up. The dining room was cold on both mornings as there was no heating and I ate breakfast in a coat and scarf. No room service was provided during our 2 day stay.

"Fabulous country Inn, with an amazing garden"

8.0

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The Inn has been redecorated from top to bottom, inside and out.........and it looks great. Almost brand new. The gardens at the rear have been beautifully kept and there is ample seating alongside the river. We had a very nice evening meal and the service was excellent. Secure parking for our motorcycle. The staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us.

"Not Recommended"

To be honest I rate the pub side of the property as 4-5 stars with the beautiful garden and its location by the river, the pub meals were adequate too. However, accomodation was something else, I would rate it as 1*. The room and its furniture was very dated, the carpet was dark red and couldn't tell how clean it was, the room was dark and the bed was old with very uncomfortable and noisy matteress where the springs were noticeable. There was no maid service which we did not know about untill we asked why the room was not done up the next day and the towels were not changed, we were told this service is available only on request, how are we suppose to know! the wifi did not work in the room too. We are very well travelled people and this place is definetely not 3 stars.

Such a beautiful pub! The gardens are stunning and so well maintained. The location right on a gorgeous river is just perfect. We were blessed with fabulous sunny weather so we were able to enjoy the riverside tables whilst sipping gin. Children and dogs playing in the river made it just perfect. The staff were all so lovely and friendly, they couldnt do enough to help you. Our room was clean, well presented and had a fantastic view of the river. Cant recommend this pub enough. I will definetly be returning next summer.
